Since my second mc I cant seem to dig myself out of this hole, I am crying every day, drinking too much (though not loads), obsessing and feeling depressed. The more I search for answers the bleaker the picture gets. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gyneacologists have lots of info about recurrent miscarriage and I read on the site "A history of subfertility (conception delay greater than 12 months) is present in 25 -30% of women with recurrent miscarriage. It is frequently due to ovulatory disorders and confers a poor prognosis for future pregnancy outcome". Well, I took over 18 months to conceive after a m/c, then was diagnosed with ovulatory disorders and treated only to miscarry again.

So is that it? Should I give up having another baby? The thought breaks my heart.

Bunny2 - sorry this has happened to you. When I had my appointment in December the clinic said the majority either do the wrong tests or they are done wrong. No consolation though and a bummer you have lost another cycle. Thinking of you and everybody else of course.

Thanks ladies . I had the tests redone this morning, I was told the lupus ones takes 4 - 6 weeks to get results. How long sis yours take Hana?

great that you were able to have them done the next day bunny.
My first tests were just before Christmas and everything was normal or within range apart from this lipid one which - if tested 6 weeks later and is still high - indicates APS. So my next tests are scheduled for 29 Jan, and then I guess it would be a few days after that that I would know. Early February. They have been very quick on turning them around. My husband and I also had chromosonal tests done, they are not back yet but should be. Will ring about that tmrw.
It's great getting answers but all this waiting and waiting.....

I can only log on at work at the mo, so just found this today. I'm so annoyed for you Bunny, you even showed them the bloody book! It's crap. I hope they get it right this time for you Bunny.
I'm thinking of you all. xxxx

I know this article won't be of immediate use to any of you but I thought it might cheer you to know people are researching into miscarriage . Best wishes to you all.

Interesting Suedonim, thanks for that link, these immunological disorders are of the type I am being tested for right now. Unfortunately the medical understanding is still in its infant stages.

Hana, lupus (SLE) is the most common autoimmune disorder in women of reproductive age. It causes miscarriage so I imagine you have been tested for it (there again I am as confused as you so perhaps you havent). If your other test results (apart from cardiolipin one) came back neg, I wouls presume you dont have SLE but maybe you could ask your gp. I only know about it from reading the Lesley Regan book, she does a few pages on it. Isnt the waiting agony? I really want to start tccing but did decide to wait for the test results, now it seems the testing could go on for months, how long do we wait? T'is frustrating. Hana, were you taking clomid? I seem to recall you didnt.

Quacks, when's your appointment? Keep us up-to-date wont you.
