IwishIwasmoreorganised · 13/04/2011 21:39

Well for all of your hard work in getting your darling Richard homw with you. You can take comfort in the fact that he felt safe and secure enough to pass away so peacefully.
Cuddle and kiss your dd's safe in the knowledge that a part of Richard will always be there with you through them.
Please accept as much help from people as you feel that you want to, and don't be afraid to ask for help from RL people and all of us on here now and at any time in the future.
Be kind to yourself. Life has been cruel and unkind to you. I'm thinking of you and your family.
xx

pinkytheshrinky · 13/04/2011 21:42

Hassled · 13/04/2011 21:50

I'm so sorry. So sorry he died, so sorry you didn't have more time at home together. I wish I knew what to say - it all just sounds like platitudes.

MotherMucca · 13/04/2011 21:56

I have followed your story, in awe of you, Rinders.

I am so sorry.

This poem brought me great comfort once, I hope the words can lift your spirits a little too. Take care xx

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

So sorry Rinders, been following your story for the past year. I am pleased he made it home, sounded like he was surrounded by the people he loved when he passed peacefully. :(

Will be thinking of you in the coming days and weeks. Hope you have people close by to take care of you and the girls xxxx

PacificDogwood · 13/04/2011 22:23

Oh, Rinders Sad.
I am so glad that R made it home and that you had that precious day at home together.
It is so clear from all your posts about him that he was an amazing man and will be sorely missed by all of you.
Hold on to each other and honour his memory.
Much love xx.

smartyparts · 13/04/2011 22:24

Another lurker here, checking in to hopefully read your dh was home and comfortable. So sad to read this.
We're in US on hols. At the time of his passing, we were on the beach watching loads of dolphins. It was so beautiful & now seems really poignant.
I wish you and your gorgeous girls the very best. I have admired your eloquence on these threads and your love for your dh has shone through. Man people are married for decades but don't get to experience a real love affair with their soul mate.

MillsAndDoom · 13/04/2011 22:25

Rinders Sad I'm so very sorry.

yellowkiwi · 13/04/2011 22:26

Sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all at this terrible time.

MercyMe · 13/04/2011 22:29

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I have been following your story but not posted before. I am glad that Richard managed to get home to spend his last moments with you all. It sounds like he has a wonderful family. Thinking of you all x
