DS's triumphs for the day were:

a floaty kind of dance - "I am an anemone dancing to the music of the waves"

"When I die, don't bury me - I am too beautiful. Put me in a glass coffin."

not his butchest day ever

A friend just linked me to this thread - ROFL at all of them!

My best contribution is that DD was making a mud pie in the garden and said "there now, all done - I'll just sprinkle on some cinnamon" - cinnamon on mud-pies, how middle-class can you get?!

DS1 on holiday at my parents.

My mum asked him which type of pizza he would like. He asked if the pizza had come with ham on or if she had added it. When told that the pizza came with the ham already on it, he said that he would have the other pizza as 'we won't be able to guarantee the quality of the ham'!

Oh I have loads of these I could write an essay but today's is as follows:

Today just as we were going out and getting in the car DS2 (2 years) pressed the button of the boot of my car which opened it slightly. I saw him and thought I closed it but when we started driving it started beeping at me to say the boot was open. It only seemed to do this when we stopped at traffic etc. I didn't realise it but every time it bleeped I said 'I know!'. Later on we stopped at a traffic light, the car bleeped, DS2 says in an exacerbated voice 'I know!' DS1 and I burst into fits of giggles. 'What do you know?' I asked DS2. 'I don't know!' DS2 replies.

sorry, not very poncey - my DS (4) was given a "Transformers" DVD for his birthday recently.

He has been obsessed with it since. Not a problem until he began telling everyone the names of the transformers - including "Ratchet" or "Ratshit" as he so confidently shouted to my DH and I.

shootfromthehip · 22/08/2008 14:11

MY precocious DD (4) announced that 'the whole Universe belongs to me Mummy. But I've decided to share it with everyone else. Isn't that nice of me?'. I had long suspected that poncy DD thought that the Universe revolved around her and now I have the proof.

DS2 described DD1 as "glorious" today. And then announced that I must not clear the soft toys from the garden because "those ones are the sacrifice and those ones have got to come down from heaven."

Ah, the happy marriage of Catholic schooling and Terry Deary's Horrible Histories.

Not poncey, but made me laugh (silently, and wince a little too).

I told DD1 & DD2 to go into the living room and play a game. DD1 looks at DD2 and says 'what game shall we play?' DD2 answers totally seriously 'Lets play silly buggers'

My 3.10 year old yesterday: "mummy, I am going through a tired phase"

chipmunkswhereareyou · 30/08/2008 19:15

Not so specific but ds (3.1) has taken to saying things like "I don't really like that anyway though" - using words like though sounds very poncy from the mouth of a 3 year old me thinks.
