Zara, Naomi, Georgia or Margot?

Naomi is beautiful

Naomi stands out as more unusual I’ve only ever known two

I like all 4 names but my order of preference would be

1 ~ Naomi
2 ~ Georgia
3 ~ Zara
4 ~ Margot

Oh I love them all!

Naomi and Georgia are my favourites but I'd worry everyone would call Georgia George, which takes it from being rather lovely to rather masculine which I would hate. There's a lovely song called Georgia on My Mind (though that is mostly considered to be about the state in the US, but can be taken to be about a person).

Zara probably my least favourite as I do associate it with ladies who would be about 40 now, it was popular where I lived, that and Zoe.

Margot is lovely, I think it might have had a bit of a moment about 10-15 years ago, but is still gorgeous.

I don’t get the love for Margot, it’s also the most popular of the 4. There are lots of them.

I like all the others. I really like Georgia.

All nice enough… there’s a lot of Margots around right now. I like Georgia best.

I love Naomi and Margot .
The only issue is that these names are often mispronounced
Not a fan of the name Zara but Georgia is ok

Margot is hideous. It is so frumpy and looks like Maggot, so no. The others are nice but Zara is the best!

Is Naomi really very pretty? It has a nice meaning but to me sounds like a good name for a horse: Neigh-omi.

We have a Georgia and she is called Gia for short

I don't mind Georgie either - which is odd as I really don't like the name George at all. It's too heavy.

But Georgia is pretty, and I like Georgiana even more, though DH vetoed it from our lists as some pronunciations come perilously close to Georgianal.

Do you ever get people assuming you've named her after the US state? Like someone named eg Dakota. I know the name is older than the US state & has a different root but I worry people would think we've imported a US name
