Daphne or Pearl

We've found out we are having a girl. These are the current top 2. Thoughts?

I like both, but I prefer Pearl. The only person I have ever met/know called Daphne was called Daph so maybe that’s a thing to consider if you don’t like that shortening

I've met three baby Daphne's recently but no Pearl's so I would probably go with Pearl.

Well I'm not the biggest fan of Pearl but it's much better than Daphne.

Beautiful, Daphne wins it for me. Both are pretty options & of the same ilk as Penelope for me. I think the fab actress who played lyra in the bbc adaption of his dark materials is a Daphne ☺️.

Daphne Pearl is awful. Pearl looks nice and has a nice meaning but the sound isn't good.

I love Pearl. It was high on our list but we live abroad and it doesn't sound as nice in the local language.

I think they’re both lovely. Slight preference for Pearl as it was on my name list but my husband didn’t like it! I guess Pearl has less chance of being shortened whereas Daphne could be Daph which I’m less keen on.
