everly · 06/06/2025 22:51

As the title states, please choose which two you like best for twins.

Margot
Audrey
Sylvie

Just to clarify, I am not looking for any other name suggestions.

Thanks

Margot and Sylvie —both very chic Fifties-style names! Both elegant and pretty.

Audrey for me is just far too elderly-lady for a cute toddler! And doesn’t quite fit the style of the other two.

This poster has nailed it 👏

Margot and Sylvie

Margot is really popular at the moment @SmotheringMonday .

I like Audrey. Not really getting the Audrey hate. I teach a lovely Audrey though so I’m envisioning a pretty sixteen year old with long wavy hair!

Same. I like it. It’s getting more popular. I know of a few Audreys who are all pretty cool and rock their name! I think it looks nice written down to.

Had never seen Maggot in Margot before. Now I always will.

@everly Audrey and Sylvia (rather than Sylvie) also nice..

SuperTrooper14 · 07/06/2025 09:31

Audrey and Sylvie. Both sound classy. Margot sounds like someone who owns an allotment but employs a gardener to do it for her.

okydokethen · 07/06/2025 09:32

Margot and Sylvie sound great!

pencilcaseandcabbage · 07/06/2025 09:32

Margot and Sylvie just seem to go together better, but I also love the pp's suggestion of Audrey and Sylvia, which also match.

Cotswoldmama · 07/06/2025 09:44

Margot and Sylvie, really love Sylvie ♥️

AnneMarieW · 07/06/2025 10:06

Sylvie sounds beautiful imo, it’s one of my fave names and Audrey is very retro cool so I’d pick those two (I don’t see any issues btw with two “ee” endings- so many siblings have them or two “ah” ones, it’s perfectly normal).

I don’t dislike Margot but it is soo trendy right now that I can see it becoming the girls name of the 2020’s along with Ottilie and Maeve (and thus probably date). Plus even the beautiful Margot Robbie admits she was called “Maggot” at school (though that probably wouldn’t happen now simply because it’s getting so popular).

Margot and Audrey

Newzog · 07/06/2025 10:19

Margot and Silvie.

Ketzele · 07/06/2025 10:24

Audrey is my favourite. And then Sylvie.

I actually think Sylvie is the odd one out style wise.

I think that’s maybe a bungled dim memory of The Good Life? Tom and Barbara had an allotment; Margot was the neighbour who didn’t like the mud and mess.

Margot and Sylvie

Marhot and audrey

PrincessHoneysuckle · 07/06/2025 10:30

Sylvie and Audrey or Aubrey?
Margot is too harsh sounding imo not a pretty name

Edited

Margot autocorrects to maggot too

Jamfirstest · 07/06/2025 10:34

Oh I love them all!! I’m inclined to go Margot and Sylvie as two vowel ending names are a bit of a mouthful. They are all v nice though

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 07/06/2025 10:42

Margot and Sylvie

I half like Audrey and half think it’s very dreary, but anyways it’s marmite

WhiteWidowWithAttitude · 07/06/2025 10:45

Margot and Audrey (although I may be biased because my best friends daughter is called Audrey).

I just think those names are really classy, and match well with a cool retro vibe.

Giddykiddy · 07/06/2025 10:48

Margot and Sylvia - lovely together - not at all keen on Audrey

Not in inner city Manchester it isn't! Come across one, spelled "Margeaux".

Might be popular elsewhere!

DelphineFox · 07/06/2025 10:51

Margot and Sylvie. I like all of them though

SummertimeFeelingFine · 07/06/2025 10:53

Margot and Sylvie. Lovely names!
