Adeline Cecily is my vote

Doubleespresso23 · 27/10/2023 09:52

It’s rare for me to see names I really like on here but I think Aurora and Emeline are really cute so is Adeline!

saying that, depending on your surname Leonora
Celia could also be really cute!

Thewildthingsarewithme · 27/10/2023 09:53

Thank you, it’s only taken six months to get to this point! Our surname is single syllable and I think quite nice, certainly plain and inoffensive

Emeline is beautiful, there’s one in my ds’s school. Gorgeous name. I also love Aurora though.

PerspiringElizabeth · 27/10/2023 10:02

Leonora as I love Leo for a girl. And Nora actually! And I think it’s the least usual of the bunch.

Leonora Emeline sounds nice.

SneezyEvie · 27/10/2023 10:39

Cecily Aurora/Theodora

AdaColeman · 27/10/2023 11:12

All your names are lovely, but Cecily is my favourite. Aurora would be a pretty middle name, especially if she was born in the early morning.

HoHoHoliday · 27/10/2023 11:28

Leonora is beautiful!

Leonora Emeline or Leonora Cecily.

helpmum2003 · 27/10/2023 11:47

Emmeline Aurora, lovely.

Pemba · 27/10/2023 11:47

I really like Emmeline, I think it's normally 2 'M' s, isn't it?

I quite like all your names though, although I do think Aurora can be hard to pronounce, especially for little children.

Pemba · 27/10/2023 11:50

Emmeline Cecily would be very pretty.

Thewildthingsarewithme · 27/10/2023 12:03

I think Emeline is generally accepted as the French spelling of Emmeline and I think I prefer it! Seems to be a consensus for this, Cecily and Leonora so far which is so helpful, thank you!

Oh right (re Emeline spelling), I wasn't aware, fair enough. It is a lovely name whichever way it's spelled.

MaloneMeadow · 27/10/2023 12:45

Love Cecily - such a pretty name that you don’t often hear. Definitely my favourite by far

ShoesoftheWorld · 27/10/2023 12:48

Cecily Theodora gets my vote. Cecily Leonora is nice too.,

Twentytoone · 27/10/2023 12:52

Nice to see such pretty names

Adeline Leonora is my vote from your list

If you choose a longer first name ans wanted a slightly shorter middle name I also like Adara and Leona.

PickyCat · 27/10/2023 13:42

Leonora Cecily. That could take a girl into any walk of life.

But I think all your options are nice. Less keen on Aurora and Adeline.

MerryChristmasToYou · 27/10/2023 14:32

Emeline - Emmeline is ok. Emeline looks wrong
Cecily - ok, but makes me think of cess pit
Aurora - don't like it. Many can't say R
Adeline - don't like it
Theodora - don't like it. Theo too popular.
Leonora- don't like it. Leo too popular
Celia - ok

I'm not keen on any of them. Celia and Emmeline are ok

floatingnoodle · 27/10/2023 14:36

Definitely not Emeline with one m. It will be very tedious for her to tell everyone that it only has one m as that isn’t a spelling used in the U.K. at all.

I would go for Cecily Theodora or Leonora Cecily. I love Leonie as a nickname.

NotFastButFurious · 27/10/2023 14:57

Cecily Theodora or Cecily Aurora.
I'm not a fan of Aurora as a first name though.
You could have Cecilia and then she could Celia or Cecily.

Theoldwoman · 27/10/2023 15:00

Celia Adeline

PrincessHoneysuckle · 27/10/2023 15:00

Aurora Emmeline

Mumofgirls2017 · 27/10/2023 15:30

Like Aurora, Theodora and emmeline

aurora cecily
emmeline aurora
theodora emmeline

Lucyintheskywithlove · 27/10/2023 17:20

I like them all.

I think Theodora would be my favourite, but I can see why it's a hard choice for you as they are all lovely names.

Holly60 · 27/10/2023 17:24

I like Theodora
