Which would you choose, and why?

Jean. Its my DDs middle name.

ConkerBonkers · 28/02/2022 18:40

They are all nice, but Joan is my favourite

SallyWD · 28/02/2022 18:40

I love them all. Even though they're old fashioned names they seem really fresh to me.

DramaAlpaca · 28/02/2022 18:41

Jane is the nicest
Jean is the coolest
Joan is a bit dreary

So I'd choose Jane.

AliceMcK · 28/02/2022 18:41

Jane or Joan

Janes my middle name, always liked it and think it’s due a come back. Both DH & myself have/had Aunty Joans and both love family names.

Lurking9to5 · 28/02/2022 18:41
  1. Jane. Like its simplicity. Seems a bold choice now after 2 d3cades of frilly names
  2. Jeanie but not Jean
  3. Joan still seems drab, not ready to come back yet.

Jean. I know a lovely Jean in her 20s.

Hummingbirdcake · 28/02/2022 18:42

Jane or Joan.

PeakyBlender · 28/02/2022 18:42

Jean 100%

I feel like everyone has an Aunty Joan. I had two!

I think Joan or Jean.

PurplePansy05 · 28/02/2022 18:44

Jane. It's the classiest.

midsomermurderess · 28/02/2022 18:45

Jean. Feisty wee name, Jeanie is good nn.

PlanetNormal · 28/02/2022 18:49

I’m not enthusiastic about any of them. Too grandma. But, if forced to choose, (plain) Jane.

chickentikkawhatswrong · 28/02/2022 18:49

Jane is such a nice classic name, not sure why is disappeared

DetailMouse · 28/02/2022 18:51

Wow are Jean and Joan back?

About 20 years ago I found a baby card sent to my parents when I was born, by my aunt who was 10 at the time. She said she hoped I'd be called Jean. I was very pleased I wasn't and I have a name people on this board don't like Grin

TheYearOfSmallThings · 28/02/2022 18:51

I like them all, but I like Jean (Jeanie) best.

BabyTurtIe · 28/02/2022 18:52

Don’t like any but if I had to pick then Jane

IsadoraQuagmire · 28/02/2022 18:53

I like them all, but like Joan best, it sounds so glamorous. Jane is very pretty. Jean sounds very cool (I do think of it as a very Scottish name though)

gingerhills · 28/02/2022 18:54

I like Jane, and then I prefer Jeanne or Jeanie and Joanie for the other two.

MrsMoastyToasty · 28/02/2022 18:59

Jane (or Jayne) then Jean but not Joan. I also like Janet and Jeanette .

Shimmyshimmycocobop · 28/02/2022 19:00

I love Jean

StopForAMinute · 28/02/2022 19:02

Jane is lovely.

Flexitarian · 28/02/2022 19:03

Joan because it was the name of both my nanas.

sixtiesbaby88 · 28/02/2022 19:03

I've always loved the name Jane. Jean is ok, not so keen on Joan though

SalsaLove · 28/02/2022 19:04

I love them all! Joan and Jean are very cool. Jane is more classic.
