Mine would have been Isambard and Isis !

It’s just as well that you get 6 weeks to register a bi try h.

DS1 would have been Taylor-Ray
DS2's name was decided at our first scan and never changed.

TerribleCustomerCervix · 30/08/2021 16:36

Donncha.

I came to my senses and his name is William.

nancybotwinbloom · 30/08/2021 16:38

Ophelia. Still annoyed I didn't call her that.

lilmishap · 30/08/2021 16:40

DD was nearly Chelsea - DD is very grateful I changed my mind about it.

DS1 was nearly Red (I saw the name Red Buttons on the end credits of a TV show and loved it)

Luckystar1 · 30/08/2021 16:45

My eldest son would’ve been Gael, I was reading a book with one in it at the time.

Mustardbay · 30/08/2021 16:48

Dahlia

WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly · 30/08/2021 16:51

Rosalice. I liked the mash up of Rose and Alice. Don’t know what I was thinking, it’s horrible 😂

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 30/08/2021 16:53

Dorothy.
Vetoed by DH.
I still like it.

RussianSpy101 · 30/08/2021 16:54

@TerribleCustomerCervix I love that!!

My William was almost Roman!

Farevalah · 30/08/2021 16:54

Jocasta or Persephone for DD
Hamish or Barney for DS

Didn't end up using any of them but at the time I loved them.

Mycatispretty · 30/08/2021 16:59

Hyperemesis

Itis6oclocksomewhere · 30/08/2021 17:02

Topsy.

starpatch · 30/08/2021 17:04

Jonas- which I still like but in those early post natal days that turned into Jona which fortunately a friend put me off
ended up with on Jonathan which suits him anyway

nancybotwinbloom · 30/08/2021 17:05

@Mustardbay

Dahlia
Ooohh I love that
SingleHandSue · 30/08/2021 17:05

I wanted Peppa for DS2 had be been a girl.

I still really like it

TheVanguardSix · 30/08/2021 17:11

Jezebel or Scheherazade for a girl

Isambard for a boy

Hormones are now seriously on the wane as oestrogen abandons me. The ol' ovaries are having a 'WE'RE CLOSING' fire sale and I've got more hairs on my chin than a Carpet Right warehouse. Fleeing hormones aside, I'd STILL use those names if I could! Grin

RussianSpy101 · 30/08/2021 17:12

@Mustardbay my new niece is called Dahlia!

I wanted to call DD Emilia. I didn’t as I felt she’d go through life saying it’s Amelia with an E.
Funnily enough, her best friend is called Emilia and does constantly have to correct the spelling.

TheVanguardSix · 30/08/2021 17:15

Ophelia. Still annoyed I didn't call her that.

I came SOOO close to calling DD that. That was THE name. And then, I'm standing there, about to go into see the midwife (routine appointment) and I find myself staring at a framed poster of that infamous painting of Ophelia by John Everett Millais.
I just thought, "Nah!" after years of yearning to use this name. Grin

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 30/08/2021 17:16

Boudicca and Edelweiss.

Isis would be an extremely pretty name... if it wasn't for the terrorist organisation.

FibroidFanny · 30/08/2021 17:18

Ha ha, twilight fan?
MinesAMassiveSalad · 30/08/2021 17:19

Gabriel.
I still like it but everyone (including the neighbour) said no way!
