Maybe got it down to 3 girl names

We are due in three weeks and have really been struggling with names.

I think we’ve got it down to three names that we both like.

Francesca,
Paige,
Brooke.

Middle name is Vera Jean after grandmothers.

Opinions, (please don’t be too brutal 😂)

I love Paige and Brooke. I read on here before that Paige comes from Margaret.

I like Francesca best. I’ve never heard of Paige coming from Margaret, and Googling isn’t throwing anything up - are you thinking of Daisy @Marlena1?

Oh, I tried searching Mumsnet and I see people are saying it comes from Margaret via Peg - you live and learn!

Yes, I think when the nickname "Peg (or Peig ((Irish version)) went to US, it became Paige.

Francesca doesn't need to be shortened, but if it is, there are other options to Fran or Franny. Could be Frank or Cesca.

Francesca is lovely and you can make lots of Nick names.
Paige and Brooke are dated (sorry) - Paige was on my list of favourite girl names as a teenager and I'm 49 now

Francesca is a beautiful name. However it is a very Italian name. Do you have any Italian heritage?
As it's the equivalent of using a very Irish name e.g Aine and not having any Irish heritage.

Paige is my favourite by a mile, then Brooke. Reallt reallt don't like Francesca sorry
