The other day I read about a girl called Nerys and it was the first time I saw this name thought it was so beautiful.

I also worked with children and one was called Keziah, I just remember writing it down because I thought it was so pretty.

Has anyone else got any names that when they heard them for the first time they made a note to remember them?

I really love the Irish name Grainne.
Such a beautiful sound and I think it's a feminine yet strong sounding name.

Paige - a minor character in neighbours in the early 90's. I thought it was beautiful
Jacqueline - so lovely
Angharad - a friends sister
Chloe - first heard on Home and Away. Thought it was exotic

The first time I heard the name Nerys was in Only Fools and Horses. She was the barmaid that Rodney went on a date with, nicknamed "nervous Nerys".

There's a little girl at DS's nursery caked Petra, which I think is beautiful, mainly because I associate it with the place and all it's amazing history.

When I was a teenager nearly 40 years ago - twins called Phaedra and Petra.

The recent revival, since Downton Abbey, of the name Cora. It is my sister's name, was my mother's name and my grandmother's name. I'd never come across another Cora until Downton.

There’s not many of us about 😃

I love the names Perdita and Venetia, but I’m not posh enough to use them.

When teaching, there was a little boy called Matrix and a little girl called Cello (like the instrument) in the same class.

I couldn't actually say their names in conversation - only when taking the register. Both names 'stuck' in my throat. Confused
