Welsh girl names - Help

We are really struggling with girl names.
It needs to be Welsh but work in Welsh speaking Wales and English speaking Wales and can't have a LL in it.

We have tended to like 'dated' names over current popular ones.

Megan, Bethan, Rhian, Carys etc are all nice but too run of mill.
Siân and Sioned also can't be used and nothing that begins with a T

How about Delyth? Love Ffion too.

MikeUniformMike · 14/07/2020 19:53

Ffluer isn't a name. Fflur is.

Dilys is not very nice. Delyth is nice but is a middle age woman's name.
Meredith isn't a Welsh girl's name, it is the anglicised form of a boy's name.

Isolde and Meriel aren't Welsh, neither is Jenna.

The link given by @JaJaDingDong, as do many others, has some horrendous so-called names, mistakes, and boys' names.

Imogen - I'm not sure it's 100% welsh

Cerys / Nerys

Is Anna Welsh? Thought it was Polish?

Love Ffion, Anwen, Elin, Dilys, Eira, Betsi

Cherry321 · 14/07/2020 19:59

Also love Catrin

MikeUniformMike · 14/07/2020 20:03

Imogen is not at all welsh.
There is no J sound in Welsh and the stress always falls on the penultimate syllable, so if it was welsh it would be pronounced im-MOG-en.

Anna isn't really welsh but is perfectly acceptable, just as Ann and Hannah are.
