Do you like the name Seven for a girl?

My husband and I are curious as to how the first name Seven would be for a girl. The number is significant to us biblically and means the number of completeness, as she will be completing our family. There are many other reasons behind Seven.

Is it too out there, or is it cool?

Thanks for any input! Smile

It’s the name of a Borg drone in Star Wars. A friend of mine has a very pretty dog named Seven after the character. Good middle name?

Sugarfreejelly · 30/12/2019 07:40

It’s a number not a name. Please don’t do it. Sorry!

LizziesTwin · 30/12/2019 07:41

Sorry Star Trek, not Star Wars.

OceanSunFish · 30/12/2019 07:42

It's Beckham's daughter's middle name - that's the only time I've heard it as a name. I'm not keen on it personally.

ElloBrian · 30/12/2019 07:42

Named after Viscount Severn, no doubt? How charming.

PrettyPurpleFeather · 30/12/2019 07:42

Introduce yourself to all you know with your new name the number, Seven. Then spend some time experiencing real life like filling in forms, trying to open bank accounts, people's reactions to the name & questions regarding how it's spelt as in Seven or 7. Once you've experienced this & still think life will be easy for your daughter called Seven then name her it but not until you have experienced it yourself.

MuttsNutts · 30/12/2019 07:43

No.

SpeckledDot · 30/12/2019 07:44

Bad idea

NobJobWinker · 30/12/2019 07:44

It's a number not a name

Lots of 'things' have significance to us but that's not a good reason to saddle your child with a silly name

If you really insist then middle name only!

50shadesofsay · 30/12/2019 07:46

It's horrible and she'll be teased throughout school and be embarrassed by it as an adult. Middle name?

QuillBill · 30/12/2019 07:47

Like George Costanza from Seinfeld. He wanted Seven as a baby name. And Soda. Soda Costanza.

In all seriousness I wouldn’t want my child to have a number like a prisoner.

KatherineJaneway · 30/12/2019 07:47

Love it but then I love Voyager.

UnaOfStormhold · 30/12/2019 07:50

I'd avoid, or try something like Septima?

TwiddleMuff · 30/12/2019 07:51

I like it!

GreenGrove · 30/12/2019 07:52

Nope

1066vegan · 30/12/2019 07:52

No, it's not cool. It's a pretty silly idea. I can imagine a toddler coming up with this sort if thing if they were trying to help Mummy and Daddy to think of a name for the new baby.

MarshaBradyo · 30/12/2019 07:53

It just makes me think if that awful film

Without that it’s a bit out there

TooleyVanDooley · 30/12/2019 07:54

It’s not cool at all, it’s ridiculous.

Theducksarenotmyfriends · 30/12/2019 07:54

Only if you give her the middle names: Of Nine.

custardbear · 30/12/2019 07:54

Also thought Seven of Nine (Voyager) when you mentioned it, then Beckhams shirt number ... it would be a no for me to be honest for the above reasons and the other one that it's a number and not a name

Fairylea · 30/12/2019 07:54

God no. Just why?!! It’s a number.

Family143 · 30/12/2019 07:56

I like it too!

Chattercino · 30/12/2019 07:57

Poor kid. What about Seren? Least it's an actual name.

Straightomyhead · 30/12/2019 08:00

My friends have a female dog named seven and even then they have to repeat the name when asked.

DrWAnker · 30/12/2019 08:00
