Is this name really that bad

I’m vvv fussy w names.
First baby, a little girl. Due 16th September!
And the only name I adore, always have is Everly!
Everly Violet / Everly Rose / Everly Hope / Everly Lyla
Are all in the running, with Rose as mn being my favourite.
I think it’s so pretty, unusual but not ridiculous, or pretentious.
I like Ever or Ev as nn.
DP loves it too, as do the 2 friends I’ve told. Not gonna tell my mam and nan until she’s born as they are... v opinionated :)
So, did a quick google search of ‘Everly mumsnet’ and ummm, it seems 9/10 MNers hate it - despise it with passion in fact!
I am aware it is Beverly without B, Everly brothers etc... but is it rlly that bad?
And if it truly is horrific, any other suggestions?
I don’t like Evelyn. Prefer modern, unique names.

It'll get written as Evelyn I suspect and I wouldn't shorten it to 'ever' as it sounds like Heather without the h. Or it'll be 'whatever'. You have to consider all possibilities as well as initial combinations... at the end of the day your child your choice.

Give her name like Emily instead. Everly isn’t first name and I hate it.

And to the PP, it's not a choice between Rose and Danger. There's a vast swathe of perfect lovely middle ground. Plus, the OP has asked for opinions - quite different from a friend naming their baby, where of course you would just nod, smile and say 'congratulations'.

If you like it that's all that matters. It's your child.

But it brings to mind Beverly... which is horrific

I had my daughter 3 years ago and every name me and my husband came up up my mom hated so in the end I picked tilly and told nobody not until she was born and at first people were not sure but the name grew on them my husband included. Pick a name that you both want and stick to it sure people are not going to like it but at the end of the day its your child and you get to pick the name. I for one love the name you have picked

It sounds a bit Teen Mom to me.

I'm 29 and have no idea who the Everly brothers are so doubt your baby's generation will. I think it's a nice enough name although Rose as a middle name isn't very imaginative.

I actually quite like it, and I don't think it that unusual. It comes up as a suggestion on here a lot, so I wouldn't worry too much about it being disliked! I don't love Ev or Ever as nicknames, but I don't think that really matters.

If you and your DP love it, it doesn't matter what anyone else says. Stick with your first choice. Don't compromise to make other people happy.

There's a YouTube family with a daughter named Everleigh. It's a bit yoounique but honestly I think it's really pretty. Guaranteed there will be children in her class with far worse names.

Poor child. Give daft 'unique' names to pets if you must, or to a collection of toy dolls. Don't give a child a name that she'll spend her lifetime having to explain, and spell.

And it sounds like 'Heavily'.
