Just found out that we're having a girl. We were convinced it was a boy and only really thought of boy's names (on no evidence whatsoever). Any suggestions for a name. DD is Anna. We have reluctantly decided against Elsa.

Not sure if Elise is strong enough though. Although I'm not even sure what I mean by that.

Boys names were John and Liam.

Elise is pretty but I think possibly too close to Elsa?

I don't think there's anything wrong with Elise and Claire but they're very 80's, where as Anna is timeless.

I've deleted my list! I had Claire on my list actually, Rebecca, Martha, Ellen, Eleanor, Joy, Julia and Georgia off the top of my head.

Elise is lovely. Also, Elouise?

I see what you mean about Elise. It is nice but a little flimsy somehow. Elsa is better (in the born free sense!), likewise Eloise, Louisa, Esther or Elizabeth.

I also think some Shakesperian classics like Miranda, Rosalind and Imogen would work.

Julia and Elinor go very well too.

Alexander is apparently a family name - I like it with nickname Sacha/Sasha actually, don't know if Alex and Anna are too similar so thinking about avoiding another A name. Good suggestion though 😀
