KateTTC123 · 05/10/2018 20:39

I already have a Harris. I'd like another scottish name but not an island. Any suggestions?

troodiedoo · 05/10/2018 20:39

Good grief no. Colgate would be a slight improvement.

weebarra · 05/10/2018 20:40

I went to school with a boy called Maclean. It suited him and nobody thought it was odd, but this was in Scotland.

Strokethefurrywall · 05/10/2018 20:41

Fraser?
Lachlan?

AfterSchoolWorry · 05/10/2018 20:41

Angus

KateTTC123 · 05/10/2018 20:41

@weebarra I am in Scotland too. It was my late grandmother's surname; would be nice to honnor her.

LaPufalina · 05/10/2018 20:41

DD2 was going to be Cameron if she was a boy!

Strokethefurrywall · 05/10/2018 20:42

Ps - I don't think it's that odd OP but I'm married to a Fraser and he's a Scot through and through.

DS2 also has an Irish surname as a first name!

newroundhere · 05/10/2018 20:42

KateTTC123 · 05/10/2018 20:42

My thoughts on Maclean is that it could be shortened to Mac, which sounds lovely

villainousbroodmare · 05/10/2018 20:46

Your MIL had her chance. Not up to her.

Dacresmallwilly · 05/10/2018 20:47
