Email from friend about my baby's name

I've just had DD, she is a whole 5 days old and we thought we'd picked a good name, but I've just received an email from a family friend saying that it's a terrible name.
Please tell me straight, is Ophelia Elizabeth Cole a horrible name?

Nope. The name is fine. Your friend is a horrible person though.

Of course it isn't. How dare someone tell you her name is horrid! Even if you don't like the name someone picked you keep it to yourself. It isn't like you named her She-Devil Satanic Spawn.

That is an awful thing to do to a friend, especially a friend with a brand new baby.

It's a nice name -- quite long first and middle names but the short surname means it flows well and ends on a strong sounding note.

Congratulations, what a beautiful name. Your friend is either really odd, really horrible or you have unwittingly given your DD the name she wanted to give her child and she’s trying to put you off it?? I really hope you can ignore her comments. Enjoy all the lovely newborn cuddles!
