Looking for a really unusual girls name!

I'm 34 weeks pregnant with my second daughter and found my first's name by scrolling through this forum. Hers is very unusual but has a meaning and is not too much of a mouthful. We're looking for similar with this one. By very unusual I mean a name that's never shown up on the baby name chart which records any name that has been used more than 3 times in a year. It's a tall order I know!

We have Australian and Italian roots and surname ends in -ia so that rules out most -a or -ia ending names for us.
Nice nicknames are also a must.

As an example of what I like my all time fave name is Camira. It's Australian Aboriginal but unfortunately is the name of a shit Australian car so has been completely vetoed by OH.
Would love some help!

Ethne

cakeandteajustforme · 27/10/2017 14:44

It’s actually my sisters name. And to my point about adding A’s in Oz- her nickname is Mez!

cakeandteajustforme · 27/10/2017 14:44

A’s- meant Z’s!

vitaminC · 27/10/2017 14:53

I know a very sweet 14yo Zélie (pronounced zay-lee). Never seen the Salir spelling before, but why not.
Zayde/Sadie is the yiddish word for grandpa, so if you have Jewish friends or family, I'd probably avoid that one!

I currently work with a Mahaliana, which is certainly unusual. She's Madagascan, I think.

vitaminC · 27/10/2017 14:54

Odette is beautiful, I’ve only ever met one and she was a lovely little girl.

Bridie is also known but pretty uncommon.

Crunchymum · 27/10/2017 15:45

Bertha, Donna and Karen.... had zero of them in the UK last year.

They are about to become extinct.

HumpHumpWhale · 27/10/2017 15:51

Persis. I've always thought it was lovely although for my own daughter I wanted one she'd never have to spell!

Seti · 27/10/2017 16:05

When I say Zalie it sounds like I’m saying Sally with a blocked nose.

Zerafina is nice and you could nn Fifi or Ina.

Mum8 · 27/10/2017 17:34

Irida, a Greek ancient name
Love it, but Did not use it due to the way it can be teased ie “irritating” in EN speaking countries but that was my gut feeling and I could be totally wrong

hurrythefuckupgeorge · 27/10/2017 18:44

For unusual names I really like

Anairi
Murren
Lamya

I also know one girl called Storm which I love.

WildRosesGrow · 27/10/2017 21:05

You could have Azalea as her full name, with Zalie for short.

Makesmilingyourbesthobby · 27/10/2017 21:19
