I've never heard of Jadon but I know a gorgeous little boy called Noah so that makes me biasSmile

Out2pasture · 21/09/2017 00:33

how does one pronounce Jadon? jaw dawn, jay dawn sorry not keen on that choice.
noah is classic :)

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 00:43

Noah is no more classic than Jadon! Thank you for commenting Smile

I've never heard of Jadon either, is it pronounced like Jayden or Jah-donn? I like Noah.

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 00:49

Well, I suppose Jah-donn would be more accurate, but we've accepted he'd get Jay-donn Smile and we are more than happy with that!

Noah for me

feelinmightylow · 21/09/2017 01:06

Jadon sounds common, sorry

pilotswife · 21/09/2017 01:09

Jadon is awful
Noah is a great name

Elllicam · 21/09/2017 01:11

I don't think it sounds common, it is a biblical name. There's Jadon the meronothite from the Old Testament. I still prefer Noah though.

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 01:11

Awful? Shock what do you mean by 'common'? Hmm

feelinmightylow · 21/09/2017 01:12

If it's Jah-don it's...possibly ok
If it's jay-don it's just.. we'll come on.

Binghasalottoanswerfor · 21/09/2017 01:13

Neither!

Please don't succumb your child to a lifetime of having to spell their name out phonetically. I have that issue for both my first & last name! Really gets old & frustrating pretty quickly

Mumsthewordssshhh · 21/09/2017 01:14

I know a couple of Jayden and not so keen on Jadon (pronounced with the Ja). Sounds a bit like someone prouncing 'bucket' like the lady in one foot in the grave (bouquet)! I know a Noah too. Think Noah Matthew works nicely.

NameChangeFamousFolk · 21/09/2017 01:18

Out of those two, definitely Noah. Although I might even prefer Matthew as the first name!

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 01:20

Neither isn't helpful Hmm

I really can't use Matthew. I don't want my son to have my dad's name!

Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 01:21

Jadon reminds me of Jayden..and yeah. Where I live there are too many Jayden's.
Then again it is jadon not Jayden. So out of the two I'd probably go with that.

Apparently Noah's are ten a penny now.

I do love Matthew

Needalifeoverhaul · 21/09/2017 01:21

I'm afraid I don't like Jadon either OP. Noah Matthew is lovely though.

Sophronia · 21/09/2017 01:32

I'm not keen on either, but Noah if I had to choose. Jadon is too much like Jayden, which has some negative connotations.

notangelinajolie · 21/09/2017 01:37

Please let it not be Jadon. Dreadful name.

SuperBeagle · 21/09/2017 01:41

Jadon is a Biblical name, so just as classic as Noah, in that sense.

I prefer Jadon, because I think the religious connotations of Noah are far more pervasive (old man with an ark and some animals), and because Noah is so ridiculously popular.

Alfieee · 21/09/2017 01:43

I appreciate everyone has an opinion, but really, what is so 'dreadful' about Jadon? I've never seen any other biblical name described in such a way.

OP posts:
MrsTerryPratchett · 21/09/2017 01:48

There are lots of Jaydons and Kaydons and Braydons round here and Jadon will get tarred with that brush. If you care, I don't particularly. And it looks nice.

Lottey90 · 21/09/2017 02:49

Yeah basically would look like your one of the Jaydon braydon kaydon sheep

Ham69 · 21/09/2017 07:09

Sorry OP but you have asked opinions and have to accept criticsm.
Jadon really isn't going to be a popular choice. It doesn't have a great reputation.
I'd go with Noah.

ChocolateCrunch · 21/09/2017 07:16

Noah is my choice. Jadon will probably be mispronounced, so you might want to bear that in mind.
