Heard today:-

Spring-rose

At the doctors the other day was deliah-rose. Thought it was a misspell for Delilah but then maybe it's Delia?

And the when I worked in a nursery there was a little boy called deneil. Not too bad you say, till you knew his older brother was called Neil Hmm

I have a few from primary school:

Girls - Justice, Angel, Destiny, Brayden, Searli (rhymes with Barley)

Boys - Junior, Seven, Iggi, Corby, Memphis-Starr, Dempsey

BrienneofQarth · 06/11/2015 13:39

Boudicca - bloody love it, such a cool name!

Also know brother and sister called Harrison and Indiana. Parents must be fans!

fairyfeatures · 06/11/2015 13:41

Briella. Sounds like the third ugly sister in Cinderella.

FattyNinjaOwl · 06/11/2015 13:43

Coal (spelt like that, not Cole)
Dasher. (Yes like the reindeer. Poor kid is a teenager, DBs class in school)
Both boys.

Micah · 06/11/2015 13:44

Anomali.

K'la

PetersonPeterson · 06/11/2015 13:44

Hamlet.

FartemisOwl · 06/11/2015 13:45

Oh I love Boudicca!
Most unusual I've heard are:
Legion
Diesel and Donnay (Confused
Scarlett (last name was Balls!)

youngestisapsycho · 06/11/2015 13:47

My friend works in a school and there is little girl there called Babydoll!

ExBallerina · 06/11/2015 13:47

Snow Angel. No lie.

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 06/11/2015 13:52

Denver
Boss
Fox (baby boy)
Zye-eer-ah (no idea on spellings, only chatted with her once)

Loula117 · 06/11/2015 13:53

There was a small boy at nursery called Ronaldinho.

Have also met an Ambolynn at a playgroup. Oh and a Chien-Angel

Loula117 · 06/11/2015 13:56

Have also come accross a Lois which rather than being pronounced Low-iss, was more like Loi-s as in 'Oi you!'. That may be a variant but I'd never heard it before.

spritefairy · 06/11/2015 13:57

I love Boudicca too!!

'Legion'

For real? What are the siblings' names - Wendigo and Succubus?

Peaceloveandpartyrings · 06/11/2015 13:58

Artorius. I love a strong name like that, wish I had the balls!
I wanted to call DS Cassius but DH vetoed Envy

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 06/11/2015 14:00

Loula

L-oi-s is the welsh variant.

Still unusual. I met a baby one once.

FartemisOwl · 06/11/2015 14:01

Expat Grin
If only I'd had the guts to ask! The same thought crossed my mind too and found myself grinning to myself!

Fizrim · 06/11/2015 14:03

I've come across someone (Lois) who pronounced it Loyce. Zaire (Zye-eer-ah) is the former name of the Republic of Congo?

Cornelius

IAmcuriousyellow · 06/11/2015 14:03

I've mentioned this before, but years ago I met a pair of little boys, twins, called Kidderminster and Ulysses

spritefairy · 06/11/2015 14:05

Ah I know a loola. My mum thought I had missheard and kept correcting me to lola but no it was a loola

OP posts:
Stopmithering · 06/11/2015 14:08

Denim
Stone
Saxon

IoraRua · 06/11/2015 14:12

Thywill. As in Bedone. I shit you not...I quite like the Marvellous, Blessing etc names out there but Thywill is too much imo.
Also Bishop and Daysee.

AuntieStella · 06/11/2015 14:13

I know a loola but she spells it Lula. It doesn't seem particularly weird to me (no more than Lila).

Cerseirys · 06/11/2015 14:14

Ptolemy! Poor kid...

PissPotPourri · 06/11/2015 14:14

I knew of a Diesel too.
And met a grown woman called Muff.
My friend taught in the same class, a Tweetie Pie and a Crystal Mays
