Wanted: girls name. Must be fabulous.

Why am I pregnant again ffs? Stupid Catholic upbringing. My body will an unsalvageable wreck and we will be living in penury for the next two decades.

Anyway. Need a girls name. I am utterly devoid of inspiration, being interested only in grab bags of Skips and having naps.

Already have an Agnes and an Enid. Surname Stephens.

Dislike: frilliness; 'ah' endings; 'classic' names.

Like: fabulous names. I was keen on Ramona the last go-round, but think I might have lost my love for it.

Any suggestions?

Why don't you call her Fabulous?

Vita's great, I grant you. But Fabulous is fabulous.

MitzyLeFrouf · 25/05/2015 22:58

Fabulous would be the perfect name for a mini RuPaul.

SlightlyJaded · 25/05/2015 22:59

I SWEAR I came on to say Vita.

I love it. Strong, elegant and timeless. Doitdoitdoit

VixxFace · 25/05/2015 22:59

Fanny I agree. Not one of these names is fabulous in the slightest. They are hideously ugly.

WhinGin · 25/05/2015 22:59

Dinah?

Nabuma · 25/05/2015 23:02

Temperance?
Suki?
Coraline?
Delphine?
Ariadne?
Adeline?
Sorry if these have been suggested, is a long thread to sift through!
And, sorry to be pedantic, but the girl in Despicable Me is Edith. I only know that because I have an Edith.

nilbyname · 25/05/2015 23:02

Don't worry. Sometimes it helps to know which names you don't like.

You can't have another granny chic name, it will look like you've got a theme going and chose the name just to be on trendWink

Vera, Mavis, Beryl, Ethel too obvious, just as predictable as Isabella having sister's Evie and Ava

LondonRocks · 25/05/2015 23:32

Diane
Hilda
Penelope
Ida
Deirdre

What's your son's name, OP? That might be helpful for us when offering up suggestions (sorry I checked to see just how new OP was, not troll-hunting or anything)

MaureenMacnally · 26/05/2015 00:00

Ok, reusit, you're being a little weird now.

In common with many MNers, I frequently switch up details of posts to maintain RL anonymity (next change coming up after I've picked a name, now I've given my kids' names out of course!).

This would seriously be the most boring thing on earth to troll about.

I'm sincerely sorry if I offended you with the wording of my OP. Not my intention at all.

Have a lovely evening. Namaste.

Wanda
Mary
Jane/Jayne (well over due a revival)

MaureenMacnally · 26/05/2015 00:09

I actually really like Jane.it was on early long list then slipped off it. Maybe I'll stick it back on.

getbusyliving - I know what you mean about themes, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Grin
