Finding it really hard to pick a boys name, I've got a little boy called Louie and thinking of Jayden for this one could be shortend to J or middle name will be Joseph as that's my dads name so Jayden Joseph could also be JJ. Honest opinions please :)

If we creep out the peace might hold.....

Come on usual! Don't be distracted by your whippets or that dog eared copy of the Sun! We can go another 20 pages, I know we can.

I have offensive views on many, many topics I am itching to share.

Or shall I save them up for the puppy naming thread because I think class warfare AND dogs will be epic and may well break the internet.

I would be proud to be part of that.

Posieden and Hecate sound like the sort of cats that would poo in your neighbours' gardens...

I would hate to be rich.

Of course you would.

CoteDAzur · 04/06/2014 08:42

What a bizarre thread.

I don't remember ever being on Spero's side on a debate, but she is entirely blameless on this thread. No doubt OP would have wanted to know about the prejudices that come with a name like Jayden and has benefited from Spero's comments.

Some of you have large chips on your shoulders that you need to sort out.

I don't know what Maryz is on about. Spero hasn't been rude and has nothing to apologise for.

useryourillusion · 04/06/2014 09:16

Woww... jost wow. I am irrevocably intrigued by the fashion of events here, starting with a seemingly simple do you like the name q and segueing into class war, personal insults and swingeing condemnations of various posters.
As a newbie this absolutely fascinates me and wonder, semi-paraphrasing another poster, this is a microcosm of the internet, forums, mn or just another angel on a needle? Rich vein of possibilities there methinks.
And thanks for the KJV reference. I do not have a KJV in the house right now but is the reference not actually to a sow... or lady pig?
Do correct me anyone, I adore the perfect symmetry of a correct and appropriate quotation.
Let's keep it fluffy.... and OP, name your little one anything you like, honey!
However do bear in mind possible prejudices. I still stand with my previous post, but have to acknowledge we do still live in a world bristling with assumptions like my untreated hair bristles of a morning(and most of the way through, unless I have given myself the minutes needed to beat it into submission.. rarely before the school run).

Sure that helps. Hope no cans of worms are about to be broached..... lol

Agree this is cyclical (should have used the search function earlier I suppose):

this - from just a few months ago

this - from a few years ago

What on earth is a K name? does it mean a name starting with K or something more mysterious.

I thought AIBU was scary it is tame compared to over here.

K names, lots, but not all, enjoy a similar reputation to Jayden. E.g. Kacey, Kayleigh, Kaelan,

Fideliney · 04/06/2014 12:21

This thread is going to end up a case study on some Californian postgrad module.

Spero · 04/06/2014 12:26

'Internet Insanity, the Power of Group Think and the Unreflecting Hive Mind'

oooo, I'd go on that course.

TiggyD · 04/06/2014 12:36

Just read the first few posts when I saw how many pages it ran to. Is it worth reading the whole thread or is it one of those threads.

Don't like Jayden by the way.

TiggyD · 04/06/2014 12:36

Forgot the ?

Sorry.

Fideliney · 04/06/2014 12:38

"'Internet Insanity, the Power of Group Think and the Unreflecting Hive Mind'" is a good summary, so it rather depends on your taste/moods/workload Tiggy Smile

Fideliney · 04/06/2014 12:42

We are getting two kittens. I am going to go the greek mythology route and call them Poseiden and Hecate (Puss and Cat for short)

Just saw what you did there Maryz. Grin

I hope you are coming to the puppy naming /class warfare thread Smile

Spero · 04/06/2014 13:28

TiggyD, I for one think your life will be immeasurably poorer if YOU don't wade through 29 pages of wild accusations and frothing outrage.

Plus, we won't let you join our puppy class warfare thread which Fid is about to start as this is open only to Serious Playerz in this field.

Spero · 04/06/2014 13:29

sorry that was a randomly emphasised 'YOU' there, think I meant to capitalise the 'DONT'.

Just flexing my typing muscles for all the angry capitals and hurt remonstrations that I am going to need for the puppy thread.

TiggyD · 04/06/2014 14:02

No PROBLEM.

Spero · 04/06/2014 14:25

We WILL see YOU on the puppy THREAD THEN.

As I was the one on the receiving end of it, I will stick to frothing outrage, ta very much.

HAHAHAHHA I have a staffy - she is under the duvet as we speak - so no one will be able to say anything nasty to me on THIS thread.

And I got her from a rescue.

I will be untouchable.
