Finding it really hard to pick a boys name, I've got a little boy called Louie and thinking of Jayden for this one could be shortend to J or middle name will be Joseph as that's my dads name so Jayden Joseph could also be JJ. Honest opinions please :)

She is very unimpressed with all the frantic mumsnetting I have been doing recently.

Alisvolatpropiis · 04/06/2014 16:30

People must be very confused when they hear me bellowing serenely calling for my Rocky. He's a cat!

My other cat has a name which everybody but everybody insists is a dogs name.

CoteDAzur · 04/06/2014 16:35

alis - Name your cat whatever you like, as long as you don't mind the perception that it is a dog's name.

AMI88 · 04/06/2014 16:46

My cat is called cow and also sleeps in my bed!

cow? What kind of name is that for a cat?

yes, this thread is going to be mega.

AMI88 · 04/06/2014 17:22

It gets worse- when we brought cow, the pet shop told us it was a she, and then 4 weeks down the line two suspicious ball shape objects appeared. So not only is cow called cow (named by the children I look after) she is a he, with pink paws, pink lips and the squeiest miaow you could imagine. It's a very confused animal!

Our staffie was called Engels. True fact (DS named him) but nobody will believe it Sad

I regret to tell you that Carling is unlikely to make it as a High Court Judge.

Fideliney · 04/06/2014 17:43

Carling as in Will or Carling as in Lager? Hmm

JohnFarleysRuskin · 04/06/2014 17:45

Or Carling as in, 'he's just carling one out on the neighbour's lawn'?

Pay no attention to me Derek - I'm a nervous wreck.

The Hmm was just a ponder on which answer would be most dangerous, thread-wise Grin

Sleepyhoglet · 04/06/2014 18:17

I don't like it for that reason, in the same way that others may dislike Rupert or Arabella etc for sounding too posh. I can't move beyond the connotations it holds for me.
