Going on from the boy thread. I'm 14 weeks so don't know what I'm having yet but I have the feeling its a girl. Only problem is we have a boys list a mile long but only some ok girls names.

I love Teddy, Tyger, Wolf, Fox, Dexter etc for boys but can't seem to find any names like this for girls. Any ideas?

I don't think so GemmaPomPom

There's a certain subsection of middle class London society that is intimidatingly cool - the guardian reading, croissants on Chiswick High Street on a Sunday morning, art galleries, fringe theatre and alternative music event attending, slightly hippy-esque, late breast feeding, SAHM type of 'cool mum'. My cousin is one. I'm jealous but afraid!

Having read your selection of boys' names, I don't think I can come up with anything daft enough to match those.

If anyone called their kids those names where I live, people would just laugh.

Oriel
Aphra

Love Juno - not sure H would let another girl in the house, however.

Oh - and I absolutely love Audrey, also. Don't think it is that popular, despite Hepburn's popularity.

Well, I'm delighted I don't live where you live! Sounds awful.

ProfondoRosso · 28/02/2014 17:59

I like Ludo (traditionally short for the male name Ludovic in France), as a shortening of Ludivine.
