And for a girl,Pepper.

I doubt that I'd ever use any of them. They're my guilty pleasure names.

I like Sephy as a nn for Persephone.

WithACherryOnTop - Wow you've picked two names that i really love but know i couldn't use.
Love the name Anakin (although i'm not a sw fan at all) & i really love the name Pepper for a girl.

Guilty name crush: Romeo.

Josephine & Delia- not weird but I don't know any under 60 and I think both are very pretty.
Ronan- nice strong name, not popular for some reason.

Kyrie - musical term pronounced kerry-ay. Wouldn't use it as wouldn't want daughter to be called Kyrie to rhyme with Kylie all the time!

Blythe
Portia
Dolce
Paloma
Noelle
Allegra
Alberta
Angelica
Lettice (pron. LetEECE, not lettuce :)
Marissa
Lauren

Some just more unpopular than unusual!

Boys:
Archer
Thaddeus
Malcolm

OpheliasWeepingWillow · 24/06/2012 04:07

Lettice nn Lettie
Persephone nn Percy
Hero
Toby
Tuppence

IsLovingAndGiving · 24/06/2012 07:54

I know an Enoch & think that is such a fab name, although I would never use it!

Tigertots · 29/06/2012 00:47

Andriana (a Greek name). My mum once said that my own name (Rachel) sounded like music; I don't know about that, but Andriana certainly sounds like music.

Antigone

Sure there's way more (more traditional DH beat them out of me)

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 29/06/2012 07:54

suburbandweller I love Warwick for a boy too - also went to Warwick uni, and gave birth to DC 2&3 in Warwick Hospital, so it would have been right out!!! All mine are girls anyway, all 3 of their middle names have come up on this thread (Allegra, Charis, Seren). Have had lots of blank looks over DD3's name, Zuleika, but we like it and think it will suit her. I'm also very amused by the Zuleika Dobson reference... Grin

Novascotia33 · 29/06/2012 23:48

Alathea

Fireandashes · 30/06/2012 16:48

I like quite traditional names for boys but I have some real guilty pleasure girls names:

Illyria
Allegra
Genevieve pronounced the French way (pretentious, moi? Grin )
Storm
Isadora
Scheherezade

rhondajean · 17/07/2012 20:55

My dd2 s name is on this thread Grin

FrauGrau · 17/07/2012 21:09

I saw a film with a Ponyboy in it and have loved it ever since

ChocolateIsAFoodGroup · 17/07/2012 21:30

Ooooh, I wanted Persephone for DC3! Was denied.... (computer said no....) Pretty much love all the myth-type names. Also vetoed (but secretly adore):

Artemins
Ariadne
Athena

And there won't be a DC4 (so I'm told....) so boo hoo to never using them!

Like the name we've (probably) gone for, though: Lucinda June. Still classic and beautiful (I think, obviously) but apparently not as out-there as the rest....
