Oh yeah, Isolde as well, but that got vetoed by DH. His guilty pleasure name is Barbra-Ann.

I always swore I'd be brave enough to choose a long time loved name, Libertine.
When DH found out it means "one devoid of most moral restraints" it got vetoed.

Funny that! Hmm

mindyourown sounds perfectly sane to me. My mum lost a baby boy many years ago and has found great comfort in similar dreams of him with family members.

DS's name on here a couple of times now. I love his name, haven't meet another one yet.

I love the name Warwick - for a boy or girl. I went to Warwick university though so it's unlikely that I'll use it. Merlin was also on my list of boys' names and DH loves it too, but we weren't brave enough to use it for DS.

I love Ophelia and Delilah for a girl which are not too wacky.

And I really love Tyrion (boy) and Denaerys (girl) both inspired by Game of Thrones.

*ignore that - bored teenage son's idea of 'humour' Angry. (Note to self - don't leave MN thread open with daft kids lurking around...)

Loveday - first name I thought of when I read the OP. Good to see I'm not alone. If I was Cornish, and had a girl I would definitely use it.
Frederique - for a girl
Agnes - But only pronounced the French way with the French accent!
Magnus - Brilliant name! I have one Wink
Mattea - Italian female form of Matthew
Leoba - I think this is pretty. It is an old name and also a (female) saint
Bede - Irish, male saint
Clementine, Clemence - not that unusual but love it all the same.
Seraphine - sounds quite romantic don't you think?

My last two babies were boys, had they been girls they would have been Persephone and Perdita (Percy and Dita).

Dont particularly like too unusual names as I grew up with one myself. I always loved Rinoa for a girl though, but Im a massive gamining geek and its a bit obviously nerdy to anyone who knows the games its from Blush

A very camp friend said we should call our daughter 'Grey'. Didn't have the balls but love the way it sounds: afraid it was dull. And now she has lovely blue/grey eyes and I wonder...

I loved Severine for a girl... and chose it! It gets a lot of 'sorry, what is it again?' responses, so I almost wish I hadn't sometimes, but I still think it is beautiful.

My real dream names include Posy (from Noel Streatfield), Amabel (would choose for another daughter if I had one, as I already have a daughter with a French name), and Marlizanne.

I also love Echo, Orlaith, Amaryllis and Vivienne. In fact, Vivienne Amabel! Sadly surname begins with J, and VJ isn't a combination I'd wish on any child...

For a boy, Asher. It's a wonderful name, I am surprised it isn't more popular.

And another vote for Winifred... it's my grandma's name, and my DD has another grandma's name (Ivy) for her middle, so I think I could feasibly use it for a second daughter...
