Unusual Boys Names

Hi all,
Pregnant with DC2, got my 20 week scan in 3 weeks and we're hoping to find out what it is but i'd like to have a shortlist of names.
I think we've decided (for now at least) on Delilah Mei for a girl (Mei spelt that way as a nod to one of my favourite films, not a bid to be 'interesting') but really stuck for boys, plus DH and I just can't agree. We have Dexter so it needs to go with that, only other criteria is that it should be unusual but not really weird.

Can anyone inspire me?

jen127, Finn is THE most popular name round here - I wouldn't call it unusual.

5moreminutes · 17/10/2011 17:59

Oh I am happy to see some people on page 1 now like the name Eric, as I have a 4 year old one of those! Mine is with a K though, does that make it uncool? We liked the Viking idea rather than the French spelling...

I wanted to call my 6 month old Axel or Ulf, but bottled out and called him Henry Grin

Yougotnae · 17/10/2011 18:00

Wilfred
Arthur
Leonard
Otis
Barnaby
Sonny
Frank (Sinatra) Grin
Miro
Anything starting with Fin, although lovely, is exceedingly popular at the moment
Gabriel is also rising in popularity imo

5moreminutes · 17/10/2011 18:01

RedRubyBlue Lewis is not unusual though, at least it wasn't a few years ago when I was teaching, it was one of the names you had 2 of in every class... maybe that varies by region though...

laughalot · 17/10/2011 18:12

My ds has 4 lewis's in his class

BlueberryPancake · 17/10/2011 18:35

I love Eliott, but there are 3 at DS' school, same with Lewis and Ethan are very popular where we live.

DSs are called William (only two other children in his entier school has that name) and Matthew (again, only other boy has that name in his school)!!! I don't like unusual names so much so went for more classic type, but still I thought they would be more popular.

Shutupanddrive · 17/10/2011 18:38

Milo! I wanted to call ds1 that. There are a few around now though, I think it has become more popular.
How about Osian?

Shutupanddrive · 17/10/2011 18:51

How about Darcy?

PetiteMum · 17/10/2011 19:46

Yaaqob

RuthChan · 17/10/2011 19:56

My DS is Haruki.

MogTheForgetfulCat · 17/10/2011 20:02

I love Roland, which has been mentioned a few times on this thread - as in 'Song of' rather than the rat or the boy from Grange Hill. But DH felt that those associations would accrue more readily than the medieval one, so we bottled it! Still love it, though.

phlossie · 17/10/2011 20:07

Roland has long been one of my favourites, but.... 'Rat fans!' I just can't get past that!

RedRubyBlue · 17/10/2011 20:10
Queenkong · 17/10/2011 20:11

DH vetoed Stanley and Fletcher but I love them both.

girliefriend · 17/10/2011 20:12

Cohen

Not sure if its even a name but love it!!
