...to counteract the likelihood that his middle name will be -eek- Keith!!!

MN is after FIL (who is lovely, but whose name isn't, & who has no middle name!!).

First name needs to be Scottish as a family tradition. So I need the best, coolest, loveliest Scottish boy's name ever to distract from the awful MN!!

Thank you kindly. Really good ones please!!

Oh, and Magnus and Brodie are both great too.

More 'normal' ones are Lewis and Calum.

I like Scottish placenames - islands like Coll make for good names.

Chrysanthemum5 · 30/06/2011 19:34

Campbell is obviously the best name!
I also love Struan, Drummond, Lochlin (Shetland version of Lachlan)

whamfan · 30/06/2011 19:40

Finn!

or Glaswegian Shuggie? (Hugh)

Lol, I dont imagine anyone calling their son Shug these days!

JollySergeantJackrum · 30/06/2011 19:50

Ds is Harris :) clearly the best Scottish name ever.

DandyGilver · 30/06/2011 21:19

I would caution against Moray as a first name for Keith, as there is a town called Keith, in Moray District, and if you ever move to the north east people will think he is trying to give his address?

Also Cullen is about 10 miles from Keith on the coast, just so's you know.

unsuspectingclodpate · 30/06/2011 21:32

hamish.

fifitot · 30/06/2011 21:32

Rory.

If not that then I too like Fergus, Fraser or Hamish.

birdofthenorth · 30/06/2011 22:41

Ooh I will look out for Keith next time I am in Moray, Dandy!

Scratches Moray Keith off the listSmile

I knew twin boys named Moray and Nairn.

mum23girlys · 30/06/2011 22:53

Haven't noticed Andrew being mentioned. He's our patron saint and I really wanted to use it but alas I've got 3 gorgeous girls and no wee boy!

Also on my list were;

Kyle
Duncan,
Alistair,
Cameron,
Lewis,

Callum,
Rory

mum23girlys · 30/06/2011 22:54

Actually think Andrew goes quite well with Keith but obviously depends on your surname

Edmundo · 30/06/2011 23:49

Hector.

catchafallingstar · 01/07/2011 00:05

Andrew is lovely and potential for nick names- Drew, Andy

Also like
Harris
Stirling
Coll
Arran
Rhuraidh (pronounced roo-ray, not Rory)

lachesis · 01/07/2011 00:12

Struan.

oohlaalaa · 01/07/2011 13:17

Duncan, Crawford, Murray, Alistair

FoxyRevenger · 01/07/2011 16:27

Oooh Harris is good Smile

meravigliosa · 01/07/2011 17:38

Lorn/Lorne

LynetteScavo · 01/07/2011 18:01

Hamish.

Hamish is soooo fabulous, it will not matter what the middle name is.

CatPower · 01/07/2011 18:02

Lachlan, or Lachie for short.

mumnosbest · 01/07/2011 19:43

Robbie

Asinine · 01/07/2011 19:50

Ross
Robbie
Stuart

AnnoniMouse · 01/07/2011 22:47

I have an Alexander, his nn is Sandy.

People do tend to think he's a girl when I tell them his name though.

Rubitue · 01/07/2011 22:54

I have an Alexander so biased. Is 'Rodrey' Scottish, think that is lovely. Also Hector (possibly can only carry off if you're super posh) and Angus.

Isla77 · 01/07/2011 23:34

I think Alistair and Duncan are the best scottish boys names. Also like Rory, Campbell (although admit it does not go with Keith), Ewan and Neil.

UndiscoveredApprentice · 02/07/2011 19:25

Roderick (nn Roddy) is Scottish,I think of Rhodri as Welsh
