What would your parents have called you if you were born the opposite sex?

I would have been a Daniel Jack, tennessee whiskey anyone? Grin

I would have been Xavier Christopher or Christian John.

wheniwishuponastar · 17/05/2011 14:26

that is truly ridiculous!!! kind of defeats the point of having a name!

izzybiz · 17/05/2011 14:27

I'd have been named Cye.
My younger brother born 3 years after me is named Cye, if he'd been a girl he'd have been Leanne.

Butterbur · 17/05/2011 14:28

Brian. Bleaghghg. It was out dated even when I was born.

Mind you, my actual name came high up a one-time Daily Mail list of names most likely to belong to chavs and losers. My parents had no taste.

olympialimpet · 17/05/2011 14:28

Nigel (also 1970's)

mummysgoingmad · 17/05/2011 14:29

stewart after my dad

LaWeasel · 17/05/2011 14:31

I have met family's like that, they usually come from countries where people aren't usually refered to by their first name but by their middle name instead.

Have met a friend of DH's though - he is one of a close family where all 6 cousins/brothers, have the same middle name and all their first names are really similar (think Benjamin/Benedict type similar). I can only think it's a tradition and they obviously find it very normal, but I found it very confusing!

nickelbabe · 17/05/2011 14:31

I would have been Scott.

Don't know about middle name.

Scott does not match my surname (which is Don, so it would be tongue-twister Scott Don)

princessProudmel · 17/05/2011 14:32

Rory or Greg.

msbuggywinkle · 17/05/2011 14:32

Carl. Yuck! 1984

Trinaluce · 17/05/2011 14:33

Honestly don't know: but probably James. Like my dad. And his dad. And his dad. And... well, you get the message...
