What would your parents have called you if you were born the opposite sex?

I would have been a Daniel Jack, tennessee whiskey anyone? Grin

Ashley. Only picked because my mum was in labour for aaaaages and the midwife wanted something to do so decided she'd write out the name tags. My mum was so convinced I'd be a girl she just plucked Ashley out of thin air, knowing it wouldn't matter.

My poor brothers would have all been called Cherry had they been girls. It's probably for the best that she only had boys after me!

Simon, my sister would have been Gary. It was the 70s obviously!! (We both have quite 70s girls names too Grin)

bisybackson · 17/05/2011 10:57

Murray

I ask you ...

LaWeasel · 17/05/2011 10:59

Simon (in the 80s)

Which I absolutely hate, they must've got over it though as it wasn't suggested for DD. I'm not sure it's the name they had in mind for my older sister either. Hmm

Fimbo · 17/05/2011 11:00

Craig Brian.

Other girly choices for me were Darryl, Heather or Fiona. I would rather have been Fiona. Fee is a rather cool nickname.

Continuum · 17/05/2011 11:09

Gareth. Quite like it myself!

emsyj · 17/05/2011 11:14

Another Rupert here. Quite like it actually, but can't use it if I ever have a DS - DD is Ruth so Ruth and Rupert would be a bit much.

Hassled · 17/05/2011 11:15

Graham. Not a bad name, but not great either.

sheeplikessleep · 17/05/2011 11:16

Michael
