What would your parents have called you if you were born the opposite sex?

I would have been a Daniel Jack, tennessee whiskey anyone? Grin

(sorry Fimbo - no offence meant)

DamselInDisguise · 25/05/2011 12:40

I'd've been Christopher, which is nicer than the name they gave me.

WaspsAnkles · 25/05/2011 13:26

Francesco - has I apparently was conceived on an Italian camping site with the same name. Quite glad I'm a girl, really Wink

AppleyEverAfter · 25/05/2011 14:36

Matthew

nagynolonger · 25/05/2011 15:37

David Richard. Which was OK for when I was born.

Shoshe · 25/05/2011 15:48

Dont know what I would have been, but DC were born in the late seventies/early 80's

DS1 would have been Lisa Jane
DS2 would have been Zoe Claire
DD Gregor James.

They have names nothing like that Grin

Bathsheba · 25/05/2011 17:49

I'd have been Gareth David.

We aren't welsh.

AngryFeet · 25/05/2011 17:50

Nicholas. They actually thought I was a boy when I popped out Hmm I guess I was swollen 'down there'. They called me Nicola instead Grin

jaggythistle · 25/05/2011 18:48

Gordon.

nagynolonger · 25/05/2011 19:35

My own DC,

Born in the 1980s
DS1 Rebecca
DD James
DS2 Rebecca again because DH insisted on a different nameAngry

Born in the 1990s
DS3 Emma (family name) Rebecca would have been 2nd name
DS4 and DS5 Rebecca.

tiptoptally · 26/05/2011 01:32

Alistair - 1975

thumbwitch · 26/05/2011 01:45

David. Glad I am a girl really. Or I really would be a hairy trucker called Dave! Grin

strawberrymewmew · 26/05/2011 01:55

I have skipped all the pages of posts, but just had to comment as that is what my friend is calling her soon to be born little boy. Daniel Jack..... To be fair she hates the drink and have decided on the name before she noticed the connection. :o

sorchatallulah · 30/05/2011 21:24

I'm Sorcha which is difficult as it is (the whole "three syllables but looks like two" thing drives people mad!) but I would have been Ruadhrí - normal enough here in Ireland perhaps but as I grew up in the states I barely got by with my own name, and it's -almost- intuitive at least!

Climbthewall · 30/05/2011 21:28

Joshua, better than the name i was actually called

asdx2 · 30/05/2011 21:52

Caleb which must have been unusual forty odd years ago.

LadyMacnet · 30/05/2011 21:55

Sebastian

TheRainInSpain · 30/05/2011 22:02

Derek.

I'm thankful that I was born a girl.

IWillCountToThree · 30/05/2011 22:06

Mark Anthony.

My brother has the honour of that name! :o

Jodyisagirlsmane · 30/05/2011 22:32

I would have been either Paris, Lance, or Scott.

If my Dad had had his way I would have been Red. And my name now would have been Blue. Hmm

fairieswearboots · 31/05/2011 00:11

I would have been Stuart William.

Sleepingonthebus · 31/05/2011 00:17

I would have been Andrew, shortened to Drew, because I was due on St Andrews Day. Came 2 weeks early though and the wrong sex.

Cathycat · 31/05/2011 00:38

Jethro! I am so glad I'm female! Having said that, my name is awful as a female. So in a parallel universe on "Dadsnet", I'd probably be saying the same thing about my present name!

sparkleshine · 31/05/2011 00:45

I would have been Paul Robert
My younger brother is Andrew Robert...would have been Rebecca if a girl.
He's glad she went off Paul by the time he came 5 years later. Robert is a family name.

Sillyness · 31/05/2011 12:31
