Looking for a 'celebrity' baby name

OK, now if I'm honest, I would say that I genuinely like the unusual names that celebrities give their children. My faves are probably names like Bluebell, Blossom, Peaches, Honey, Tallulah Bell and Betty (for girls) and Romeo, Kingston, Cruz and Ever (for boys). Although I am not a celebrity, I would like a real 'celebrity' name for my next child. I wonder if I am alone in this, or if anybody else feels the same? I doubt that I would have the guts to do this, I will probably end up with something boring from the Top 100, but it's fun to imagine.

So tell me, what names would you go for if you had artistic licence to choose whatever name you liked?

By the way, please feel free to take the piss and post ridiculous names - I will probably like them Grin

White Lightning
Cider Apples

RedbinD · 21/04/2011 23:48

Chavtasia would be a nice girls name.

MelinaM · 21/04/2011 23:50

I know a Chyna Mae (12), she really suits her name, and has never been made fun of!

I rather like the Phoenix family's names:

River Jude

Rainbow Joan of Arc (Raine)

Leaf Joaquin

Liberty Mariposa

Summer Joy

dexifehatz, why on earth are you dragging up this old thread Grin ?

BornAgain-I think your tablet dose may need readjusting.

MarieFromStMoritz · 22/04/2011 12:25

Very insulting to those with MH problems. You really should get a life. Dragging up a thread from a month ago to insult the OP. I mean, WTF

dexifehatz · 22/04/2011 14:25

What thread are you talking about? So telling someone to fuck off when they give you suggestions is fair game is it? People with a small vocabulary and the inability to form a decent, witty comeback usually resort to offensive language. So can you please tell me which thread I am supposed to have dragged up please.Sincere apologies to tablet takers, myself included.

Threads don't have a shelf life.I was scrolling through some threads and I thought yours looked interesting.I just thought you were a bit harsh.Sorry if you'd lost interest in your thread, maybe next time you could delete it if you don't want anymore posts.I don't really feel like killing myself today,if only you'd have suggested that 2 months ago you could have visited me in hospital.Thankyou so much for reminding me.Sad

Then maybe you should stop your troll-like behaviour and consult your MH professional.

I refuse to entertain this nonsense any further.

Ruby-Rose
Lily-Star
Blaze
Spirit
Trinity
Lennon

These are all real children I have known.

My favourite is Loveday. I so want to call my imaginary future daughter this, but am not Cornish or a sleb, which I think disqualifies me from using it Grin

MelinaM · 23/04/2011 00:11

^Fab name! ..you could always relocate to CornwallGrin

bleedingstill · 23/04/2011 00:26

flyingspaghettimonster · 23/04/2011 02:56

Seraphina, Lorellei, Christobel, Persephone, Sorrow...

Lonnie · 23/04/2011 07:43

I like the sort of names I like simply as that really some of them are more avangarde We had Seraphina as a top 5 for dd3 but she didnt look like a Seraphina when she was born so she got one of the other names. On our name choices through our time has also been

Aurorah
Otis
Amabel (note the M - good oldfashioned name but many dont know it)
Oceanna

I cant think of any others right now chuckles too early in the morning

NinkyNonker · 23/04/2011 13:15

surprise · 23/04/2011 21:10

When I was in the doctor's the other day, there was a girl of about 10 in there who was called Lollipop; it was completely genuine as they always call out your full name in there. Have to say I quite liked it Blush

surprise · 23/04/2011 21:11

I also love Goodluck Jonathan as a name (I think he's a president of an African country - apologies for my very poor general knowledge).

theanimalswentintwobytwo · 23/04/2011 21:19

Moon Unit

Diva Muffin

ensure · 23/04/2011 22:26

I thought I was quite conservative but I considered a few of these names when pregnant!

Anyway, what about...

Lonely.
Jupiter.
Prism.
Later.
Ember.
No-one.
Prose.
Fanta.

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 25/04/2011 05:59

Well, we are thinking of calling her... Velvet. It is a name I have always liked, plus the obvious Liz Taylor connection.

Victoria Beckham is due before me, I hope she doesn't pinch it Grin.

CheerfulYank · 25/04/2011 06:03

There's a lovely children's book called Odd Velvet.

Good choice, I think :)

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 25/04/2011 06:05

Thanks CY Smile. Am off to Google 'Odd Velvet'...
