Looking for a 'celebrity' baby name

OK, now if I'm honest, I would say that I genuinely like the unusual names that celebrities give their children. My faves are probably names like Bluebell, Blossom, Peaches, Honey, Tallulah Bell and Betty (for girls) and Romeo, Kingston, Cruz and Ever (for boys). Although I am not a celebrity, I would like a real 'celebrity' name for my next child. I wonder if I am alone in this, or if anybody else feels the same? I doubt that I would have the guts to do this, I will probably end up with something boring from the Top 100, but it's fun to imagine.

So tell me, what names would you go for if you had artistic licence to choose whatever name you liked?

By the way, please feel free to take the piss and post ridiculous names - I will probably like them Grin

I assume Mila Jovovitch's Ever has their father's surname? Ever Jovovitch is one heck of a mouthful!

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 26/03/2011 14:36

Yeah, I guess. I think it's a really nice name.

Tennessee, for a boy.

I would also quite like to name my first born son 'Blind Willie Tuesday (he plays the blues)', but it would be a bit awkward if he turned out to be tone-deaf.

FoofffyShmoofffer · 26/03/2011 14:54

My Mum used to laugh at me for wanting to call a girl Snowy/Fluffy/Kitten.

Small animal/Porn star names I realise but hey..each to their own Smile

Alwaysworthchecking · 26/03/2011 21:35

I just snorted at 'Oxbow Lake'. have to confess a secret liking for Apple. Thought I was the only one (besides the Paltrow-Martin's) but I see Mamma2boyz is keeping me company.

I don't think you can beat Jamie Oliver, what with Petal Blossom Rainbow. Good gracious! (Actually, my exclamation might make a good name...)

TidyDancer · 26/03/2011 23:01

Milla Jovovich's Ever is Ever Gabo Anderson. It's quite a sweet 'name' and I think definitely seems more feminine than masculine, perhaps because three quarters of it is 'Eve'?

littlebillie · 26/03/2011 23:54

Elizabeth, from one the biggest celebrities who passed this week

seeker · 27/03/2011 00:37

Michael was a pretty famous person too!

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 27/03/2011 02:28

Actually, I don't like Jools & Jamie Oliver's DC's names at all. They just don't flow. It's as though they've taken a list of their favourite names and decided to use them all. Also, most of the names used were ones used for other celebrity children. They've obviously got no imagination of their own.

If you want a name that is unusual, then take Eden off your list, as it's rather popular. It was ranked mid-100s in 2009, and although it could of course go either way, I wouldn't be surprised if last year it climbed further towards the Top 100.

That's a shame about Eden. Anyway, I think I may have chosen a girl's name, from one of the suggestions on this thread, funnily enough.

How about shallow? its has quite a ring to it and following celebrity baby names it would be quite appropriate?

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 27/03/2011 14:44

Care to explain that one, Fresh2death?

Looking for a 'celebrity' baby name - explains enough

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 27/03/2011 14:56

So, you just came on this thread to insult me then?

OP posts:
Fresh2death · 27/03/2011 14:58

No, i came to respond to your question.
Surely thats why you posted a question? To gain others opinions?

It shouldnt matter to you what my opinion is anyway

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 27/03/2011 15:03

You came on to insult me. You must have some self-esteem issues. Hope this has helped you feel better about yourself.

Fresh2death · 27/03/2011 15:06

Haha, why are you so certain as to my impulses?
I have explained my actions yet you believe you know better ... and you didnt seem to be bothered when someone suggested Merlot as a suitable name ...

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 27/03/2011 15:07

Oh, fuck off.

Tsil · 27/03/2011 15:17

Do you want an unusual name or just the same name as a celebrity? Because if it's unusual you want then copying a celeb isn't the best idea.

Fresh2death · 27/03/2011 15:17

Seems like you have just insulted me ... precious irony
