DD2 is a few days old, and people are constantly asking for a name, as it took me almost 6 weeks to name ds. Had a name chosen, but not sure it suits her now, was going with Elizabeth nn Betsy.
Everyone thinks im being silly saying she'll grow into her name, but changed dd1 name by deed poll as her name never fitted.
She looks like a Matilda to me, but am worried how popular it is, esp in trendy areas of london.
How popular are these names? and which do you prefer? Want her named by saturday so I can stop avoiding the phone, lol
Mylist is -
Betsy
Matilda
Martha
Jemima
Kitty (not cathrine!)

I suppose I live in a "trendy" part of London. I know no Betsys, no Jemimas, two Marthas, no Matildas (but one Tilly), 2

The popular/much used girls names around here are Isobel (I know 4 under 5s with this name), Evie, Tabitha & Ella.

I love Matilda (nn Milly, Maude or Tilda). It gas a great English history and is a really strong name. I like it best of your list.

cece · 10/03/2011 21:58

SW London here and only know a 5 yo Martha.

Betsy is fab and what I would have chosen had I not had boys! Also if you call her Elizabeth she can chose another diminutive when she's older if she prefers.
