No interest in my handmade crayon tote bags on Marketplace

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping for a bit of advice from fellow parents. 😊
I've recently started making handmade Disney-themed children's crayon tote bags and have listed them on Facebook Marketplace, but unfortunately I haven't had any enquiries yet.
I'd really appreciate some honest feedback from a parent's point of view. Is there anything that would make you more likely to buy one? Is it the photos, the description, the price, or is it just not something you'd look for on Marketplace?
I genuinely believe the quality and price are good, but I'd love to know what I could improve. I've shared them on a few Strood Facebook groups too, but still haven't had any messages or comments. Similar products seem to sell well in shops like Argos, so I'm wondering what I'm missing.
Any constructive advice would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you, Hels ❤️

I agree with a previous poster saying a book bag would be more useful. I personally just don’t see the need for a crayon tote bag. Sorry

I can see where the idea is going, but I think it needs refining.

If you want an A4 tote I would make it landscape so it’s easier for a child to carry, and I would make a matching zipped pencil case that attaches.

I created a mock up of how I personally would refine the idea, I work in product design btw (although usually IT)

Now THAT is great design, practical and fun!

Unlike the OP"s overpriced, pointless, badly made, infringement of copyright effort.

When my DD was younger I’m sure she wanted something like this from the works or similar and I wouldn’t buy it as it looks like the pens would easily fall out.
If you’re in a hurry and grab things as you’re heading out the door with your child (me 🤣) this isn’t going to work well as it’s faff and the concept is more trouble than it’s worth.
Bag looks too big and there’s a risk of the child falling over it.
I’m afraid to say it doesn’t look good enough to warrant the £20 price tag.
I might pay £5, and I would want look for them on Vinted or Etsy.

£20! I don't think the design of the bag works and it looks like something knocked up on a home sewing machine.

Do Argos really sell this sort of thing?

@mumsnet this thread is back, it includes a picture of the child, their location and mum's first name. I know Mumsnet doesn't over moderate but I do think images of children should be banned from the site. The child can't consent.

It is shite

I wouldn't have described it as bluntly but I don't think it's a good product.

Had my mother made it for DD, I'd have probably thanked her and it would have not left the house afterwards (until it was donated unused to a school bring-and-buy or charity shop).

Don’t the pens all fall out? Why aren’t they inside the bag?

I don’t get it.

Do you have to pay Disney to use their copyrighted images?

As a PP has stated, I don't want to see crafts on FB marketplace, I want second hand goods. Etsy is a better platform for your bags - they are cute.

Do you think mumsnet don't know they've reinstated the thread?
I'm guessing they've spoken to the OP and are somehow satisfied that it's OK.

And continues to get traffic (MN revenue). 12 pages of the same comments.
Only reason I can see for reinstating it, the OP certainly hasn’t returned.

If you sell on Etsy you have to be registered with HMRC and have a UTR number.

Not sure OP will be back. Very surprised this thread is up and running again, especially as the picture of the child is still present.
