Here we go!

I am trying to crochet my fairy but struggling with the arms at the moment. Meri, I have finished my meme, and tagged a few more people, including dizzyday and lucykate

Miaou - Gorgeous doll ! Looks like a 1920's flapper and the pic on Meridians blog.

I love her and think there would be a real market for her.

Oh, by the way, I"M BACK from Cornwall and have to make a bunny for tomorrow, yikes ! better get my skates on although hayfever is kicking in (bloody hawthorn bushes) and I'm having difficulty seeing.

So, it'll probably end up looking like a giraffe or something

about the hayfever - what a mare! Thankyou for the lovely comments folksies. I have written the pattern down and might have a go at refining it with a view to selling it... takes too long to make to make it viable to sell.

Just a quick question - heard a couple of people mention about needing a credit card to register on Etsy - is that the only way? I have no credit card and no way of getting one (bad credit rating ) - so I guess no Etsy shop for me then

I'm off to town tomorrow for more fabric, stuffing and charity shop rummages.
My mum is coming too and she loves a good scavange in the charity shops too
I'm hoping to find some wool jumpers to felt and maybe make a slightly different version of Betzs bag.

Mmm, that sounds nice NBG (the rummaging!). I'm quite pleased with the doll, it's nothing like I expected, but quite nice all the same!

I'm guessing an account card wouldn't "translate" over to an American site. I'll have to have a rethink on that one then.

I'm now turning my thoughts to Meri's "inspiration" challenge. I need to have a look back through my happy books, or maybe do a bit more research on the web. I keep coming back to Meri's Whispering Tree print though ... it's calling to me ... ! Maybe I need to experiment with applique or something ...

Miaou- i think you would be fine with miaoucrafts its difrent enough... and would asume the photo one is prints and photos etc...

I'm sure you will do soemthing lovely with the inspiration challenge.. I still havne't sorted out the vintage swap so must e-mail my swap partner in australia and see if she wants to do the swap now or at the very end of the month.. though i suppose technically I could proabably get away with a small amount of crafting while on holiday..

Nbg - thanks for the offer but I did a huge haul of fabric in Cornwall plus thrifting so I'm OK for now.

The mutant giraffe bunny turned out OK (I think)

you lot have been so prolific...every time I pop out for a minute these days I seem to come back to hundreds of posts and new threads and all...

have had quiet crafting time of it of late...but today painted loads of little ikea frames, painted (just backgrounds) two canvases, made a pair of earrings and a brooch for my sister and made three other broochie/corsagey things too...am even going to start knitting on the bus again tomorrow

phew... feels like a fallow period may be soon to be behind me (shouldn't really say that though should I? it'll jinx me)

haven't blogged anything as have no photos yet, willl probably be tuesday before I manage it...though I may just do my 4 things meme (what the hell des meme mean...is it that it's all about me...me...or what?) in the meantime...will see how much time I have tomorrow

gotta go to bed now...happy crafting ladies

Lovely bunny too - love the fabric on his right (?) ear.
I'll hang my head in shame. No crafting really this w/e. Unless you count doing a vegetable patch. Me & DH had a great time doing it and the girls had fun 'planting' stuff in seed trays I gave them. Dirty muddy happy kids (all of us!!!)
Last night I did re-do my little purse as I wasn't happy with the button. Now I hate all of it!!! (no pics) Oh well live and learn!! Been knit knit knitting on my bag, seems to be taking an age now. Bought some more yummy wool on saturday so will be playing with that (one of them may even be my inspiration piece - the colours are just - WOW)
