Ha ha de ha ha Whizzz

Dont you have a Pist Office?
Much better than your traditional Post Office.

Meri I've left a comment too.

Great news about your dd's eye LK. Hope your ds is ok though.

Not sure I'm going to get anything done again today.
Need to get dh and dd packed off first thing in the morning, oh and the dogs too

Then I must must must get some things done as the craft fair is looming.
Need to finish off some brooches, cuff thingys and possibly a couple more dolls.

Tillyboo · 28/03/2008 12:32

Still here in windy & wet cornwall. Yesterday was nice and sunny but today is yuk !
We are going up to the stables this afternoon to see my sil's horse. Mr. Percy.
Just the sort of day to get covered in horse poo!

I went to Cowslip yesterday to stock up on fabric and I had to be dragged out. Oh my god, just think 'CHILD - SWEETIE SHOP'.

We've been thrifting in the charity shops too and I've bought a fabulous wool and mohair scarf thing to felt - does mohair felt OK ?
And I also found 6 Linen napkins that I can utilise.

My dad's PC is soooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwww, I can't possibly read all the posts, I'd be here til next year so I'll catch up when I get back home.

Nice to see we have some new crafters aboard.

lucykate · 28/03/2008 12:51

come hither you lot, i need you to answer a question for me

tilly, according to the 'warm fuzzies' book, other animal fibres like mohair will only felt when combined with wool, so if the scarf is a mix, it should be ok

Miaou · 28/03/2008 13:25

Oh I was wondering that too tilly, I bought two balls of dark green mohair from my charity shop (two balls for 50p, yay!)

dior - is that 'cause you love her or hate her?

meridian · 28/03/2008 18:11

ohmigod my typing is shameful.. papering? pampering .. I know what I mean anyway.... thank you for your lovely comments!

Miaou · 28/03/2008 19:25

lol at "papering" - my first thought was Oh lordy, another craft for me to try

I have blogged my doll, but don't get too excited, she is still in bits ... !

Still not heard from my friend or dh. Am trying not to get carried away with what ifs. It's possible they have gone away for a couple of days. We posted handmade cards to her today (which I meant to take photos of first, since they were our first effort at making cards, but I forgot until we had sealed the envelopes )

OP posts:
Whizzz · 28/03/2008 19:32

just been on Ebay looking for jewellery display things and had to laugh at
THIS! Hmmmmm interesting!

meridian · 28/03/2008 19:39

Miaou- LOL no new craft just my bad typing skills, I think my fingers might be dyslexic. I'm sure your cards were lovely even if you forgot to send them.

whizzz- I can jsut imagine you showing up at a crafts fair and putting that on display.

I have posted a new challenge on the mumsnet blog

let me know what you think.

Whizzz · 28/03/2008 19:42

Isn't that thing horrid -although it might catch a few glances & draw people to my stall to get a closer look at the monstrosity!

Cool Meri! I love challenges!
Although, I am starting a huge distance learning thing soon which is but it will mean I will have less beady time which is

rantingwageslave · 28/03/2008 19:43

GM, WILL DO!!!!
I really love that bracelet Dior, made me come over all unreasonable.
Still tinkering with dd's pyjama case, made a gaff with the yo's last night and took me ages to unknit the flipping thing.
Wanted to blog my amiguiri owl but took the camera to my mums to show her the photos and left it there!!!! Still I could at some point this weekend get out the sewing machine and finish the 5 (!!!) things that need lining and make myself a knitting bag while I'm at it. Anyone care to lay any bets as to whether I actually will

Whizzz · 28/03/2008 19:46

Dior have a fabby time tomorrow.
I bet Dawn Bibby will be sticking silver peel offs everywhere (all her cards look the same!)

Gingermonkey · 28/03/2008 20:10

lol at the reindeer head, whizzz. Nice. I think you secretly bought it

I have no idea who this Dawn Bibby is you card lot are speaking of, but if she is anything like the ladies doing demos at knitting and stitching show I would also be avoiding her like the plague. Blimming heck those demos are dull, and only the old ladies appeared to be interested (maybe coz they could have a sit down?)

I am very of amigurumi making people. DD has a big thing for amigurumi creatures, she is waiting on a new one (for getting a good school report - not that we have got it yet, I'm presuming she's done well because she's a swotty pants ). This is her new baby

rantingwageslave · 28/03/2008 20:11

. Would you say Amiguiri are vintage GM?

Gingermonkey · 28/03/2008 20:21

well, you know...I am sure they lived in vintage times, RH

Tillyboo · 28/03/2008 20:23

Oh My .... That reindeer head looks like roadkill complete with blood ! Horrid.

LK - thanks for felting advice, will give it a bash and see what occurs.

Meridian - Laft at yoorr tiping ....
I reckon you have been watching too many repeats of 'Allo Allo' ... "I was just pissing past your window"

lucykate · 28/03/2008 20:24

dawn bibby scares me, i flick past her in crafts beautiful very quickly

lucykate · 28/03/2008 20:27

looks like even the crafty blog greats aren't immune to a bit of trouble, inside a black apple seems to have had a rough week based on recent posts, it's a real shame that her appearance on the martha stewart programme has been marred for her.

rantingwageslave · 28/03/2008 20:28

Yes, sure they did GM, hmmmmm. Got another idea too. So in maybe a week or 10 days you may get your swap GM
Dior, enjoy your day. Want to know how your Tate Britain visit goes too.

Dingle · 28/03/2008 20:37

Hiya ladies, been so hectic today and I am now trying to catch up on everything. Got a busy week end ahead of me- apart from life, the kiddies, DH, the house, my NVQ etc, etc, I have 7 card orders to make, some rubber stamp images to do for Nbg and another crafter and to make a start on Juanita's Vintage swap gift!!! and at the moment my desk is so untiday I can hardly see it!

Had some new stash delivered this week and I have been trying out some new "Spring" colours that are quite unlike my rustic or vintagey feel that I have done recently. I have also won first prize in a Fantasy Challenge and had one of my cards nominated to be shown on another blog!!! So it's a great ending to a very draining week!

Details here Off for a quick look around at news and blogs!

Gingermonkey · 28/03/2008 20:38

RH - I'm rubbing hands in glee back!!!

LK - what is this? I'm off for a nose....

Dior - Have fun!!! Behave...be frugal!
