I am trying to crochet my fairy but struggling with the arms at the moment. Meri, I have finished my meme, and tagged a few more people, including dizzyday and lucykate

I've got a good idea for the inspiration challenge but I cant post pics until next week becaue dh has taken the camera!

LOL at bad show - I once went to one in Alnwick and I don't know what the organisers had done but they had seriously pissed off the stallholders - instead of selling stuff they were standing around in groups muttering loudly about one particular woman and declaring they would never go back again!

I am blogging my amigurumi doll but am a bit about it at the moment. We shall see!

Am thinking hard about your inspiration challenge Meri - I have got so many projects in my mind atm that I need some headroom to consider it properly though!

nbg, she was on the martha stewart show in usa and gave a doll pattern which is downloadable from the web site, which has sparked people making the dolls and then trying to sell them on etsy, but also, martha mentioned during the segment, how many $ all her sales on etsy amounts to, emily was mortified they let slip this information, as it doesn't take into account any running costs of her business, and has also sparked off a bit of jealousy that she is doing well from fellow crafters/etsians

Poor thing - was just reading on her blog - would love to comment but feel she probably wants to just draw a line under it all

Re Dawn Bibby - never heard of her so I googled and came up with a pic - my word, doesn't she look like SWMNBN??? (I know we can now but I prefer the acronym ) Gave me quite a fright!!

i don't like Dawn Bibby's stuff but i did like her assistant Leonie? and was really upset when her baby died

i also used to be addicted to "alan & barry" on idealworld i never actually bought anything though

dizzy that's what I did - I tagged Monkee Maker and just sent her a comment saying that I hoped she didn't mind - as it happens she declined because she had already done that particular meme (my fault for not searching her blog adequately!) but that wasn't a problem. Being new to blogging myself I wasn't sure of the etiquette but it seemed to be OK! Then I picked a couple of MN Crafters, and then someone who had replied to a comment I had made on their blog (so that way I guess they were aware of me!)

Dior, I really want to buy it, however a bit short at the mo, however when I get my first pay packet, you can make another one and I'll buy that, promise. VV, going to have to hold off on the buttons too, chimney needs repointing.
Really excited, got some bits done today, (still haven't got the sewing machine out though) and my stitchcraft mags from ebay came this morning (I currently have a bad stitchcraft habit which began in a charity shop trawl, don't tell hubby it's a whole 1.50)

Shes really upset by it isnt she, poor thing and I'm really at Martha show for spilling the beans on how much moolah she makes. Terrible.

But I hope she tells herself how well she has done and how brilliant her work is.

i know i am ashamed about a & b but it was when i was attached to baby and superglued to a sofa most of the time - with only a pile of hobnobs for company i kinda miss them

Well I have finished my doll, but it is remaining a doll and not turning into a fairy, because I didn't like the wings and I can't face remaking them just now . She is rather sweet and bears more than a passing resemblance to a flapper girl! I will blog her tomorrow, too tired tonight.

i can't remember what happened to Leonie's baby exactly but she went full term i think and if i remember rightly the baby died very soon after the birth - it was on the Topaz website but it was ages ago.i felt really sad as i think Leonie is lovely and liked to watch her as she was very shy and not a show-offy presenter plus i liked her designs.

DH has a wedding fair today so DS and I are on our own.. I might try to do some crafting today besides the fingerprint jelly bean people DS and I are making in a bit after breakfast. I have some black agate beads, and some silver.. and some left over green jade so will fashon something from them... monday I plan on getting my paints out. I enjoyed doing the giveaway painting on friday so thought I would dust off the rest of my paints tommrow.

Well its your pictures that I'm basing my challenge on Meri.
I might do that today and I've also got some earring findings so I'll have a play with them too.

Oooh something I wanted to mention.

I have a meter square of fabric if anyone wants it.
I cant seem to find any use for it but I'm sure one of you lot will.

Its a bit silky/satin like, orange with green and red flecks on that look like tiny little boomerangs

Does anyone want it?

have just added a green and black bracelet with apple toggle to the last post I did.. jsut made it this morning while DS watching Charlie and Lola for the billionth time...

I do love those prints meri, and I can see why you like them too - the faces are reminiscent of your blog header

DH says we will be going to Ikea in the morning... last chance before going away and he needs something or other and we have to look at things for the bathroom... so not the crafty day i was hopeing for tommrow.
