dior, it's quite embarrassing really, coats were supposed to be sending me a load of thread (free), but it has taken ages, and i couldn't wait any longer, so i gave up and ordered a load which arrived on weds, the coats lot arrived today , don't tell dh, i have double of everything!!

dh got paid for a portrait (well, part paid, first installment) the other week, we are being a bit decadent until the pot runneth dry again

we even bought new interior doors for downstairs, they were on offer in b&q, oak veneer for only £25 each!

Hi everyone - havent been on much, not very well atm. Managing to get on ravelry ;) but not much else!

Meridian, it's my Mum's birthday today, and she loves her bracelet. Its a great fit too!

Tilly - glad you made it to Cornwall in the end! Weird weather this week though.

Gingermonkey - love the link to the amigurumi - that stuff is soooo cute, but I cant crochet, and cant imagine being able to teach myself to a standard where I could do stuff like that.

Mainly knitting socks just now. Went egg rolling last Sunday and it was so cold, I dug out a skein of Noro Iro I got half-price without anything in mind for it, and knitted a mitten. I will be knitting another, but they will be so big (its a very chunky yarn!) I think I will felt them.

DD is hoping i will shrink them to a point where she can have them

Well as expected I got zilch done yesterday but that will all change now.
I've soent the last half hour crying because dh and dd have gone off to Austria for the week.
Its the first time dd has been away from me for so long.
But I today I get my Singer sewing table
I've also got to go and find dh a birthday present ready for the 9th.

DD1 (2.5ish) grassed me up yesterday as soon as DH came home from work she just yells out mommy been knitting today!! . Although according to her I'm making her a jumper?!?!? Err I can only knit squares at the moment!! (maybe a poncho). But no I'm making a bag to go with my ickle wickle purse. It's all designed and everything. I have got to go into town today and buy more wool. Can't believe I've used it all already. Also need to buy a yarn needle and a thimble (my finger is killing me - why did no-one warn me about knitter's finger!!)
I may well join in the challenge. I see something that inspires me nearly every day (whether or not I act on it is another matter. This should give me a push)

this talk of demonstrations makes me think of this arts and crafts fair DH and I went to in Spokane last year... it was awful, there were a few nice stalls but thats about it it was all really overpriced pottery and stuff you just would not buy... the only demonstration on was a mad woman who did paper craft... she didn't actually demostrate anything she just fondled various diffrent papers.. and she didn't make the pappers she just stuck them to canvas, i thought it would be a bit more instructional or demonstrative.. instead of her going all pervy over embossed paper and not actually making anything... strange people out there..

NBG- DH and I snuck out while her back was turned incase she chased after us brandishing sharp edged paper.

Weird. Now I love paper and paint and beads and stuff, but I don't think I've ever pervily fondled it!!

I have done the inspiration challenge... its here my inspiration is the black apple print I got M for his birthday... but I might do one more thing on monday becuse I feel inspired to drag my paints out to finish my vintage swap and get some other crafts done before going away.

Inside the black apple is a gorgeous site!! WOW (sorry Meri totally jumped on your post!!) I'm in love with the FLora & Fauna cards (I like to think I look like the short haired girlie - )
Meri - As ever beautiful bracelet. I can see the toadstool inspiration (I love toadstools!! Someone was talking about them on here a few days ago?) And that little apple clasp is so cute.
