Here we go!

I am trying to crochet my fairy but struggling with the arms at the moment. Meri, I have finished my meme, and tagged a few more people, including dizzyday and lucykate

Oh did you??? Oh I wish I had seen that!

I've designed loads more for the same company but they rejected every one and I got disillusioned - my style doesn't really fit with theirs I guess. It's a bit too "individual" (hence why I worry if they would sell or not!)

anyhooooo, have just found out the 2 latest patchwork soft toy kits i designed for anchor are now available online,

here

so have edited my blog post with the links

Miaou · 30/04/2008 18:44

LK - I guess I didn't do enough of it to get it out of my system

Dior - will definitely blog them at some point - just want to decide what to do with them first. Dh wants to buy me an upgrade to my design package but I'm not sure how much I would actually do; it would be good to gauge how much cross-stitch is still being done, whether it's worth approaching magazines with a "feature" to get more publicity, etc etc. All things to mull over atm (and I ought really to pick your brains LK!)

Love your patchwork kits though - they are just FAB!!

We need to start a new thread soon! We are very chatty. Naturally Meri we expect you to read every post made in your absence

LK, I cant leave a comment on your blog.
It wont bring the box up to do it???
I love the toadstool though.
Might go and make one but then I wont know what to do with it when I've done it
The elephant kit is fab too.

Miaou, you'll have to teach me to cross stitch.
Cross stitching and Crotchet is something I would really like to learn.
Knitting I have given up on. I dread to think how many times I have tried and been unsuccessful.

And never mind cross stitch being old hat, they said that about knitting and look now!

Knitting is the new black

Dior and Meri, have left comments on your blogs.
Lovely bracelets.

Dh is watching football tonight so I'm going to crack on with the doll outfit and possibly make a start on a new doll.

Nbg · 30/04/2008 19:02

Fabric people!

I am going to town tomorrow and plan to raid our Laura Ashley shop as they have a fab fabric remenant section.

Would anyone like me to pick up some fabric for them while I'm there?

I'll check here in the morning before I go.

ff to go and eat chocolate muffins with extra thick double cream

Tillyboo · 30/04/2008 20:16

Just a quickie ...

I've just blogged a little presi I've made for a friend here.

I'll be back later to catch up on everyone else

Whizzz · 30/04/2008 20:42

Hi all - you sewing people are very clever!
Happy Birthday Meri!

I've done nothing apart from making Greebos crochet stitch markers.
I have so got to get my head together but just can't seem to get creative at the mo. My house is a tip and I start my course tomorrow....which gives me even less time. Oh woe.....

Tillyboo · 30/04/2008 21:11

Happy B'day Meri, lovely presi's !

Lovely jewellery from you clever jewellery lot and super duper fabric crafts, toadstoola nd hanging hearts.
Lots to look at tonight. Got a stinky hormone headache so I'm a bit short on words tonight I'm afraid but I'm enjoying looking at all your blogs

Miaou · 30/04/2008 22:19

Ohh look at you lot with your busy crafting fingers.

Miaou, need to contact you, think I am going to need the hair bit soon, so hopefully you can start selling at some point in the near future. Have got caught up with a few other things, but will be done soon.

Dior, as ever, lovely bracelets, love the hearts Nbg. Would love to ask you to rummage for fabric for me but, am having to tighten my belt this month!

Miaou · 01/05/2008 10:17

oh yes ranting, forgot bout tht! will see if I can make another head and do some pics to show how it's done.

hmm, I wonder if there's any point entering my lion booties (given that they are knitted rather than sewn). It doesn't say sewing only but as the prize is fabric/sewing oriented I doubt they would have a chance.

thanks for the blog comments!

OP posts:
ranting · 01/05/2008 10:19

Am not struggling with it, it's really easy, just get easily distracted. No errors on the head though

Miaou · 01/05/2008 10:20

Oh excellent, glad you are finding it ok to do!

OP posts:
lucykate · 01/05/2008 11:12
