welcome home Meri - glad you had fun - looking forward to hearing more about it

somehow I have managed to lose the knitting I am working on...it's not too serious as I know it's at home amidst the junk creative mess somewhere...but it means I've missed a days bus knitting and I am on a tight schedule as delivery is this Saturday...yikes! still, I did get to read my book on the bus, which was a rare treat for me...so not all bad...just hope I can find the knitting tonight

Nbg · 30/04/2008 08:47

Welcome back Meri!
Hope you had a good sleep.
Long flights aren't not fun.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
Was it warm in California?
Sounds funny when you say you were sat on a beach one day and then in snow the next, all in the same country

Dior, lovely bracelets and great colours again.

Dizzy hope your feeling better soon.
I think everyone on this thread has been ill over the last few weeks.

Chrissnow, just off to read your tag.

GM, I went to see my friends baby yesterday and she loved the merrylegs
She was totally drowining in outfits for baby, chocolates and flowers so this was a lovely little suprise for her.

I also quickly whipped up some hanging hearts for her too with babys initials on.
Going to blog them in a bit.
I still need to get Saras doll finished too. Well the outfit that is.
I might do it when dd is at preschool later.

I forgot to mention that we had a letter last week to say she got into our first choice of school for September
Very pleased.

thanks everyone-- I am awake now... not looking forward to waking DS in a few minutes though... feels so cruel. will upload pics later or tommorow... aside from the Idaho weather we had a great time... wish we could have spent more time in Cali.. the weather was lovely, and its still beautiful even if the traffic on the 101 is even more hellish...

Miaou- I got your e-mail and will reply later .. going to go wake the boy and hit DH up for some more coffee... after all it is my birthday.. ... ah jet lag...what a present

YIPPEE!! I did it

The jumper I hoped to felt went from a ladies size 10 to something that DD could fit in

All I need to do now is decide what i'm going to make from it

Miaou · 30/04/2008 13:16

Excellent Dizzy! my mum felted a jumper for me and it looks fab, I can't wait to get going on it.

I have blogged a bit of history today.

OP posts:
Nbg · 30/04/2008 13:21

Yey Dizzy!
I tell you, its a bit addictive this felting lark.
I had my mum trawling through the charity shops for wool jumpers and screaming
"its got to be 85% or more wool mother"

Why dont you have a go at that bag that LK and I did?
I really enjoyed making that.
Or look at the Flickr group.

Miaou those cross stitch pictures are great.

I have blogged my hanging hearts.
Nothing massive atm.

lucykate · 30/04/2008 14:42

well done dizzy!, i have so many felted jumpers here, i'm disappearing under fluff!

happy birthday meri

i have actually got down to sewing today, and made a toadstool which i've blogged as a tutorial, here
