Woo hoo @NiceCardigan! Big congratulations! Definitely something fizzy required. Hoping your job-related success will rub off on me across the ether!

Just finished this today to send to my niece to go with the two baby comforter’s for two new family babies.

Just choosing yarn on woolfull to start the 50 stitch CAL blanket I’ve wanted to do for ages.

Oh that's so cute, @Angel2702!

Congratulations @NiceCardigan definitely calls for bubbly!

Full English... mmm... I'm the opposite to the rest of you. My fridge and freezer are almost empty. Well, not empty, but just random things that don't make a meal. Grin

That's so cute @Angel2702

I'm working on my pattern tester top. And my rainbow cardigan. And a few other little bits and pieces.

My mum has made 5 KAL cushion covers and crocheted a scarf. I seem to have reignited her love of yarn crafts Grin

Kate105 · 26/04/2021 17:19

Congratulations @NiceCardigan great news! Have a drink for me please... Not loving this self-imposed sobriety 😂

Very jealous of the full English but I am still a bit smug because I cooked chilli at the weekend so no cooking tonight 🙌🏻

Looks gorgeous @Angel2702 bet they love it!

lucysmam · 26/04/2021 18:32

@Angel2702 dd2 would love that! Where's the pattern from?

Crikey your mum's speedy @CrochetBug! What rainbow cardi are you making?

@Kate105 I haven't had chilli in ages either, that might have to feature one night now you've mentioned it. The girls don't eat it though...they'll have to have turkey unicorns or similar Grin

CrochetBug · 26/04/2021 18:43

I meant rainbow blanket Blush

InTheNightWeWillWish · 26/04/2021 18:53

Well done nicecardigan, that’s great news! Definitely enjoy the glass of fizzy... or two!

Angel that’s really cute!

I make a bloody fantastic chilli, it’s what made DH fall in love with me Grin unfortunately chilli is yet another casualty of food aversions and nausea Sad. My favourite is doing a chunky beef chilli and I always made a bucket load and have the rest for lunches. Prior to lockdown I drove the whole office mad with the smell of my chilli Grin

CrochetBug · 26/04/2021 19:14

I love chilli. Might make one this week. DS1 agreed to cook tonight on the promise of a Chinese tomorrow Grin
So I'm relaxing in the bath whilst he cooks. Only tuna pasta but it gives me a night off for a change so I'm happy.

Angel2702 · 26/04/2021 19:50

@lucysmam it is a Laura Loves crochet pattern. I’ve made so many of hers they are all fantastic. ravel.me/dragon-in-a-castle-sleeping-bag

lucysmam · 26/04/2021 19:55

Thank you! I've actually got her Etsy page up on my phone at the mo - I was scrolling a while ago when someone linked the animals with babies & keep going back for another look.

I wish someone else would cook here sometimes! Dd2 will but needs my help & dd1 just isn't interested

Kate105 · 26/04/2021 20:17

Ooooh chunky beef chilli 😍 I put some spicy chorizo in mine!

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 26/04/2021 20:22

Yay NiceCardigan! Congratulations! 🥳Wine

Awh, that is seriously cute Angel2702!

sophs29 · 26/04/2021 20:29

Congratulations @NiceCardigan 🥂

Awww that's lovely @Angel2702

InTheNightWeWillWish · 26/04/2021 20:47

kate ooo that’s definitely one to try when I’m back on chilli, although DH would already live off chilli everyday without the chorizo!

BookShark · 26/04/2021 22:21

Mmm, chilli. We had a very disappointing duck ragu pasta. I'm trying to cook through all the recipes we've torn out of magazines and never actually cooked. Although more frequently than not, I'm finding that there's a reason we haven't cooked it, despite saving it in 2015....

Lazy your yarn dilemma is my concern about doing that basket (although it's next up after Sophie). I'm not sure I can cope with the idea of full on scraps (spot the organised accountant - I don't do random) so would have to work out some sort of colour palette - and inevitably buy more.

lucysmam · 27/04/2021 19:40

I need new buttons to update this top. I spent a happy hour de-bobbling it with a cheap razor, & bought it a new belt but think the buttons need an update too. Any suggestions since I know some of you like buttons?

CrochetBug · 27/04/2021 20:15

@lucysmam I'd either go for something bright, pink or yellow maybe. Or something shaped. Actually, the wooden hearts I put on the baby cardigan I made would be perfect. Or butterflies maybe.

lucysmam · 27/04/2021 21:29

I hadn't considered coloured or shaped @CrochetBug! I did like the hearts you put on the baby cardi; where were they from? (I bet you're going to say you had them in your stash Grin )

CrochetBug · 27/04/2021 21:33

They were in my stash Grin
I'm happy to dig them out again and see what colours I have and send you a couple. I'll never use them all Smile

lucysmam · 28/04/2021 09:50

Aw, thank you, that'd be lovely if you're sure you wouldn't mind :)

CrochetBug · 28/04/2021 10:00

If I minded I wouldn't offer! I'll have a look later when I've been for my weekly walk and see what I have Grin

lazylinguist · 28/04/2021 10:10

BookShark - I think I could have coped with a mishmash ofcolours for the basket if it had been a total mishmash iyswim. But I don't have nearly enough colour variety in my stash to achieve that, so that's why I had to go for more of an actual colour scheme. Essentially I have lots of grey, tons of white and had a bit of teal and mustard. I also have several full 100g balls of a horrible pale greeny yellow which I mistakenly bought online thinking it was cream! Goodness knows what I'll ever use that for!

Application letter for my next prospective job is done, just need to do the application form now. Going for a visit tomorrow!

OP posts:
NiceCardigan · 28/04/2021 10:12

Thank you for all the job congrats. We had a couple of glasses of fizzy and then DH fell asleep on the sofa and I did some of my crochet blanket so not very rock and roll Grin

NiceCardigan · 28/04/2021 10:13

Best of luck with the job application lazy
