Awwww! So cute!

Thanks all. lucysmam it still might be long enough to fit your youngest! My nephew is tall though!

tizwozliz you need to put a cuteness warning out before posting, otherwise people might forget that puppies don’t remain that small and might be tempted to get a —another— puppy Blush She’s so cute and small. I remember when our lab was that small! Problem is he still thinks he’s that small, especially when he’s climbing on your lap!

lucysmam · 05/07/2021 17:54

Ooh my goodness, tizwoz she's beautiful!

I've done some more blanket today - I have an extra half hour in the day since dd2's walking herself home (that's a very strange feeling!). The current coloured ball seems to be lasting forever, but dd1 says it needs to be longer so I might add another one later this week.

Fingers crossed it's ready for the border before the end of next week - leaves me the summer hols to do something else then 🤞

sophs29 · 05/07/2021 20:29

@tizwozliz I just let out a squeal and my DP looked at me like I'm nuts haha! Shes absolutely adorable! So jealous!

lazylinguist · 05/07/2021 21:10

Ohhh that wrinkled forehead and soft labrador mouth! Reminds me of my boy when he was that age. He's a pointer, but has a similar gundog face (with bigger ears and a slightly longer snout!).

puppy photo warning

I honestly half expected duckie to be in bits by now but holding up great, far better than the rope chew toy!

She's been a dream so far, happy to snooze by my feet whilst I crochet and Netflix. My mum's asked me to crochet a bride and groom figure by the end of the month so hopefully can get that done whilst she's still napping 18 hours a day :-) Just need to find a pattern now

She is just beautiful! If I give a soft toy to my dog, it's ripped to shreds in about 3 minutes!

tizwozliz she obviously loves duckie and wants to cherish it… which means you’ll never be able to wash it. Our dogs have toys but each have their favourite. The labs favourite is a giant penguin. He escaped out the front door when he was tiny and took his giant penguin (which was as big as him) on his adventure with him. Fortunately I managed a very good ‘stop’ and his adventure ended at the back of the car. Anyway, we try to stay on top of penguin but as he’s carried around constantly he gets stinky very easily. Many a time I have to tell him not to hit us in the face with a stinky giant penguin!

Oh, she's gorgeous Liz! Those eyes! 😍

Love your haul lazy, those colours are just perfect together, I love marmalady colours.

Good to see you back CrochetBug!Flowers

That blanket looks brilliant InTheNight! I think your nephew will have great fun charging around in it if he's anything like my hallions Grin PlayStations are fun but not as much fun as causing havoc while dressed up Wink

Thanks for the good wishes for DS! We got the dressing changed and it's healing well thankfully. We're going to attempt the holiday again and hopefully break the run of bad luck once he's healed!

lazylinguist · 08/07/2021 10:44

I hadn't thought of those kinds of colours marmalady - that's made me like them even more Grin.

Ooh hello! Can I join in? I've been knitting and crocheting (mostly crochet these days) for about 10 years now, I love to make little toys and dolls, mostly pop culture type stuff, I also write patterns for my original designs, the whole process really relaxes me.

The blue worm is my latest one, I love the movie labyrinth and the worm is absolutely adorable so I had to make him. The rest are ones I made last summer when I was laid up with a broken ankle. Looking forward to seeing all your work, I'll go back and peruse the thread now! Grin

Welcome @DeadButDelicious! I love Labyrinth too, and your worm is fab! I've never made a toy, doll or other amigurumi/stuffed thing. It's on my list of things to learn!

I'm not a dog person but squeeee @tizwozliz what a cutie!

Finished another project. So that's one less WIP.

@DeadButDelicious they're awesome Labyrinth is still one of my fav films. Your count duckula is amazing.

I've been silly picked a pattern knowing it's an advanced one. However the jumper is so pretty. Went to our wool shop and asked the owner what other brand wool to use as I wasn't sure on weight. We sorted that but she seemed surprised at the pattern choice. I've sat down this evening and read it. Honestly I am no longer surprised at her reaction, it took me a while to decode and understand it.

Its this

Wish me luck and I reckon I'll finish it by this time next year.

DeadButDelicious · 09/07/2021 09:21

@Scoobygang7 @lazylinguist Thank you very much!

Amigurumi is very much my thing, I can't get enough of making cute little Knick knacks 😂

lucysmam · 09/07/2021 17:27

3 rows to go & dd2 is happy with the length of her blanket! I'm quite pleased by this; it's seemed to take ages to get to the size it is now!

I'm debating whether to stick to the border as instructed, or do something else...we'll see!

NiceCardigan · 09/07/2021 22:01

Looks fab @CrochetBug.

I’ve started crocheting a wrap for me. It is growing nicely.

I haven’t had much time for knitting/crocheting lately due to work and we’ve just had a long weekend away (and also managed to get Wimbledon tickets for yesterday which was great fun!)

InTheNightWeWillWish · 10/07/2021 10:42

Looks great corchetbug

Love the amigurumi dead, especially love the count duckula.

Finished the blanket for my nephew this morning. But difficult to get a photo of it without a child in it I think and MN isn’t allowing me to upload photos at the moment 😒

DeadButDelicious · 10/07/2021 11:19

That wrap is gorgeous @CrochetBug love the colours! What yarn is that? (thank you in advance)

Thank you @InTheNightWeWillWish I made Berk from trapdoor as well and skeletor. Love an 80's cartoon! 😂

@NiceCardigan Looks good!

I have an unfinished blanket that I really should get back around to. It's the Persian tiles one, I started it at the beginning of lockdown and then promptly lost interest. Me and blankets are not a good mix!

I have another worm to make this weekend (my friend wants one) and then I'm going to have a crack at Ludo. I shall have to consult the yarn stash to see If I have a rusty browny orange.

CrochetBug · 10/07/2021 13:12

@DeadButDelicious thanks. Its King Cole Beaches, I used Paradise Beach. And the pattern is the North Cap Cardiana by Laura Murphy.

Your amigurumi is great
I love the worm and Count Duckula! I haven't done any amigurumi for ages.

InTheNightWeWillWish · 10/07/2021 13:31

Hopefully this works... Finished blanket

Than you @CrochetBug I think my DD would love something in that colour way! I may make her a little rabbit or something!

Love that blanket @InTheNightWeWillWish very cute!

lazylinguist · 10/07/2021 16:58

That looks lovely, @CrochetBug! And so does the beginning of yours, @NiceCardigan - I love the kind of ripply edge!

I'm really enjoying making my Coffee Shop Wrap, even though I keep ending up in counting corner! I don't know how, as it's a very easy and quite repetitive pattern Hmm.

I've just done a bit of vicarious yarn buying. Dh needed some end of year presents for a few colleagues and one of them is a super keen knitter. I chose this reduced from £19.95 to £9.99!
