Aw, thanks for all the compliments!
Sophie is about 63cm wide at the minute, so will probably be about 70cm-ish once I'm done. Not huge, but that's a combination of cotton yarn and the fact I crochet very tightly. With the benefit of hindsight, I maybe would have used a thicker yarn, as for all the effort, the end product is quite small, but then again I like the colour fade, so...
The yarn is a Scheepjes Whirl - I've seen it used in shawls/scarves as well, which I think would work well. I got the idea from seeing the Sophie's Dream blanket link but decided to do one full one instead of lots of smaller ones. But there is definitely a temptation to do more and join them to make something more usable - but I might have a break in-between!
I also like the look of the Charlotte's Dream on the same site, but I really do NOT need more blankets! Plus DS has picked his next choice of amigurumi creature (a phoenix) so I need to do that at some point.
And Buffy takes me back a bit! DH (boyfriend at the time) used to kick me out of his room at uni because I didn't appreciate it properly - he had a soft spot for Faith if I recall correctly! That's going back over 20 years though, I can't believe Buffy is that old (or that I am!).
