Am going to order the Animal Magic book from Amazon. It looks like it would be nicer to do with markers for brighter colours. These are recommended in the Amazon reviews. Are they worth it?

Thanks!

blue I have 2 Zen colouring books, animals and flowers.my steadler fine liners didn't bleed; apart from a few spots where I went over and over the same spot. But pages are one sided so not a huge problem.

This is my tree from the secret garden. It reminds me of how I think the magic faraway tree might look!! I used 4 polychromos in purples and blue, a silver polychromos and derwent pastels as usual for me!!

Eddie don't change Grin it is my exercise for the day Wink

The magazine my friend got me yesterday is Relax With Art (issue 4 £2.99) it has 24 designs (pages are one sided) and this issue has 8 postcards included for you to colour. I am loving the designs but I do think they are screaming out for pencils rather than pens so I may have to hold off until after my birthday

I really like the under the sea one, i think i like pictures better than patterns (ive tried colouring mandalas and patterns and hated it). At the minute ive just got some crayola pencils. Any links to nice, softish, vibrant colours that sharpen to a good point and arent really expensive?

Sad the big downside to using pens - you don't know when it's going to run out Sad

Sad I'm really annoyed because I'm actually doing this one for someone, using 4 colours and one has run out pretty much straight away (but after doing enough that I can't use a different one) it seemed really good when I started and just stopped all of a sudden Sad

I'm going to have to order another set of 50 pens just to get this one to finish the picture, I have some other smaller packs of crayola supertips but (sods law!) they don't include that one!

Been enjoying adult colouring in for the last few months (my dps dd gets too bored colouring in and always changes her page and doesn't like the lines). Here's one finished page and one work in progress which is taking forever as I don't seem to have the time at the moment Sad

I've been using the kids markers but have just found £25 of hobbycraft vouchers and am thinking I need some grown up pencils or pens - any recommendations gratefully received!

I succumbed - thought it would be ideal for taking my mind off a small flight I am due to go on soon, and also to relax when its back to term time ad school restarts.

Have the Animal Kingdom book, and currently just some Steadtler pencil crayons - will add nice ones to my Christmas list.

This is another one. Using all pencils. I was especially proud of the blending on the fig. After completion, I scanned it, resized it and used it on a birthday card.

Welcome to all the new posters, I'm really loving everybody's colouring. Using the picture on a birthday card is a great idea!

jersey a lot of us are using Staedtler pens I think. And the polychromos pencils are brilliant but very expensive!

I've loved this thread and looking at all of your lovely pictures! My mum bought me a Nature Mandalas colouring book and some water colour pencils at the weekend as I'd been a little fed up and it has completely cheered me up and I've loved not looking at screen for a while.

Today I bought myself the whsmiths pencils that were recommended up the thread (and they were on offer!) and a holiday themed colouring book -I couldn't see the art therapy magazine at all?

So I'm going to spend a good few hours colouring and maybe I'll be brave enough to to post my pictures too!

Another lurker here. I've been admiring the wonderful pictures and have just finished the first picture in the Enchanted Forest (my initial drawing book got taken away by DD). I used the staedtler watercolour pencils though moaning about the lack of purple or lilac - I had to use blue and red and then use the paintbrush to blend into a light purple colour.
