@ShootingStar2020 Oh my goodness what fantastic news!!! I've been thinking about you and was so pleased so see your news 🥰 Totally understand the detachment though - I've felt the same and this is a particularly mental time to be pregnant. Puts things somewhat in perspective though and it's amazing that the things that were bothering me 2 weeks ago have now become completely irrelevant.

I had my SAFE test at my hospital this morning. I went in as planned and was initially told it would have to be rescheduled as the staff who normally do it hadn't been able to come in. Luckily they were able to find someone else who was trained though so fingers crossed I can get the results before too long and can only pray they'll be ok. Was reassured that I'd get my 12 week scan (providing no symptoms but are all isolating at home now) but blood tests (for another condition I have) have been cancelled so need to look at finding somewhere else for that.

Hope everyone's keeping as well as possible x

HungryPanda92 · 23/03/2020 21:59

@ShootingStar2020 congratulations! Detachment is the only way I could have got this far and kept my sanity. Especially with all the madness of the last few weeks. Tbh coronavirus has taken my mind off being pregnant recently anyway.

Been told today I can't have anyone with me at my scan. I was expecting it but still ended up having a bit of a panic attack over it all.

How's everyone feeling about the new Lockdown guidelines?

otterbaby · 24/03/2020 15:42

Pleased to report that my scan went well today and baby has a NT of 1.7 - such a relief. Obviously still waiting on bloods but I'm over the moon ❤️

HungryPanda92 · 24/03/2020 16:11

@otterbaby so pleased for you! What great news in this difficult time! GrinFlowers

Treaclepie19 · 24/03/2020 16:19

Amazing news @otterbaby 😁

Amazing news ☺️

Balajake · 24/03/2020 16:23

Do any of you think you’ll ask for cvs instead of blood screening ?

otterbaby · 24/03/2020 16:25

@Balajake I did consider it but opted not to - we've also opted not to have the harmony test done. I think I'm just trying to treat this pregnancy as normal as possible, unless something shows otherwise

Treaclepie19 · 24/03/2020 16:25

@Balajake we talked about having an amnio but if the nuchal and bloods are fine we will just take that as a good sign.
Saying that I've got a cold now so I'm worried we won't get our nuchal measurement after all.

Balajake · 24/03/2020 18:12

Yeah my NT showed the issue so I didn’t have the blood screening. It would only give me odds of a problem so I said no and had CVS.

I think if I get pregnant again I’m going to refuse early scans and wait for 11/12 week one. My early scans showed no issue which gave me false hope.

If I do get pregnant I will decide what to do if NT shows issues but I think I will demand a CVS

Treaclepie19 · 24/03/2020 18:22

@Balajake have you met with someone to discuss another pregnancy? Our consultant put in a plan that outlined we could have whatever tests we wanted.

Balajake · 24/03/2020 19:14

No not with all This coronavirus stuff. Not even had my full report back yet. I have managed to get 3 months of folic acid 5mg

ShootingStar2020 · 24/03/2020 21:26

@otterbaby - great news! Such a big milestone ticked off!!

Thanks for all the kind words!!

@Mangoandbroccoli - must have been all the royal jelly! Really glad you got the test done. Sending big hugs and positive vibes.

@HungryPanda92 - when is the scan? Really tough you can’t have someone there. Would they let you face time so you can share the scan?

London was very quiet today around us apart from the huge queue outside the pharmacy. Hopefully people are listening to the requirements. It was such a beautiful day today and I felt very thankful for being safe in our little garden. Spring will carry on all around us 💐🌞🐥🌼🌸

Stay safe lovely ladies xxx

Balajake · 25/03/2020 09:06

I think my period has started. My bleeding had faded to light coloured discharge but has started full blood again this morning and I’m really crampy.

It’s not even been two weeks since my procedure. Does this sound normal ?

otterbaby · 25/03/2020 09:34

@Balajake my bleeding stopped 3.5 weeks after and my period started a week after that. If I remember correctly, the bleeding did decrease and increase every so often...after I delivered, the central delivery unit said to ring them with any queries so might be worth giving them a quick call x

Balajake · 25/03/2020 09:42

It had stopped. Feels like a proper period as I’m really crampy and blood consistent of period. After the termination it was light and watery

1stbabs · 25/03/2020 09:48

Congratulations @otterbaby what wonderful news ❤️

Treaclepie19 · 25/03/2020 09:50

I had that @Balajake. I would say ring though for advice because its always best to be safe.

Mangoandbroccoli · 25/03/2020 10:27

Fantastic @otterbaby!!! @Balajake if new bleeding stops within a week and doesn't return again then that should be your period. If it continues on and off, then speak to your gp / EPU - hopefully all fine but mine carried on for 3 months and signified an issue x

HungryPanda92 · 25/03/2020 22:28

@ShootingStar2020 my scan is tomorrow morning. Just want it to be over and done with now. Wish me luck guys

1stbabs · 25/03/2020 23:31

Wishing you luck for tomorrow @HungryPanda92 all our fingers will be crossed for you x

1stbabs · 25/03/2020 23:35

Hi ladies, I'm just entering my first two week wait and not feeling great about it. I think I've convinced myself that I'm going to get pregnant straight away like last time, and I'll be so gutted if I don't. Need to think of some things to do to keep me sane in the meanwhile ... although that's obviously hard in a lockdown 😫

Treaclepie19 · 26/03/2020 06:46

Will be thinking of you @HungryPanda92 Flowers

Eesh, I'm feeling rough. On top of this cold, last night at 12w 3 days and after weeks of nausea but no actual sick, I was sick before bed.
Think it was the mix of mucus from my cold and paracetamol on a pretty much empty stomach 😩

OP posts:
1stbabs · 26/03/2020 13:12

@Treaclepie19 that sounds really rough 😞 .. is there any news about your scan? I know you were worried about what to do with your son, did you manage to get it sorted? X

Treaclepie19 · 26/03/2020 13:16

@1stbabs I'm just going to go alone. With the advice being what it is we shouldn't be asking anyone to have our son anyway so it just makes the most sense.
I'm having a big wobble today though because it's just one thing after another. The midwife messaged to say my next appointment will be a phone one. I'm so concerned they're going to miss things by not testing urine and blood pressure regularly.
