@welshmercury I’m sorry to hear irregular periods are getting in the way. I’m 40 years old so time is against me and after having a T18 diagnosis I’m really scared something could happen again but I can’t fight against my urges I wish I could. Everyone here has so many battles to face, it seems like a never ending battle doesn’t it. I want to be pregnant again fast but I’m concerned after Surgical termination baby won’t stick and I’ll have a chemical or some other complication.

Good luck to you and wishing everyone here all the best xx

BooMamaBear · 05/04/2020 07:36

Thanks @Mangoandbroccoli -I know I'm being irrational just how poorly the baby has been in my last 3 pregnancies did seem to correlate with the amount of sickness I had! I just need to wait for the results on Tuesday there's nothin I can do to change it I just really hope this little girl is ok coz my DD really wants a little sister! She'd have been happy with a brother if the last two little boys had been ok but she was telling me the other day she really wants a sister! Xxx

BooMamaBear · 06/04/2020 13:16

Ok I'm so ecstatically happy right now there is still a long way to go (though I'm past 12 weeks) and there is still a 1% miscarriage risk for another week from tomorrow from the CVS but my baby girl has tested negative for the genetic condition!!! Did 2nd week in October Xx

BooMamaBear · 06/04/2020 13:19

*due not did!

otterbaby · 06/04/2020 14:16

Aww yay @BooMamaBear!!! Congratulations, that's such a relief 😊 so happy for you x

The aka ladies!! When do you get your results @Treaclepie19? Xx

Treaclepie19 · 06/04/2020 15:13

@BooMamaBear we didn't go for the amnio or cvs in the end (which I'm questioning now whether that was the right choice) so our combined blood results should come through some time this week.
I'm in a bit of a mess today mentally. I had bad rib pain when breathing over the weekend and the doctor has reassured me but my health anxiety is just latching onto the fact he said watch out for blood clot symptoms so yeah, between that and worrying about baby I'm not doing so well 😔

BooMamaBear · 06/04/2020 15:16

Supposed to says thanks ladies xx

BooMamaBear · 06/04/2020 15:18

Are you eating regularly I get to rib pain if I don't eat enough! I did in my last pregnancy too which was horrible coz I had nausea all day so stuffed to eat! Xx

Treaclepie19 · 06/04/2020 15:19

@BooMamaBear yeah I think so. I think it may have been a pulled muscle from heaving or maybe a digestive thing. I have no gall bladder so I often get pain there. This was horrible though because I just couldn't breathe deeply without lots of pain.

Like he says though, normally with bad things they won't get better, just lots worse and today it had eased a bit.

Mangoandbroccoli · 06/04/2020 18:07

OMG @BooMamaBear what incredible news!!!! I'm so so pleased for you. 🥰

We had nhs combined results today - still waiting the SAFE results but they came back as 1:1200 for previous issue we faced so feeling pretty happy!

Sending you love @Treaclepie19. This is such an unbelievably stressful time 😢

BooMamaBear · 06/04/2020 18:17

Thanks everyone- that's good news @Mangoandbroccoli -hope your other results aren't too long!! Xx

Treaclepie19 · 06/04/2020 18:33

That's brilliant @Mangoandbroccoli!!!
What lovely news on here today Smile

Thank you, I'm really struggling with the idea of it being a clot. Guess I just have to keep an eye on it 😔

I need to catch up on recent posts but hello and love to all the new ladies. Hoping this thread can help you as it has helped me.

@Treaclepie19 - are you feeling better?

@Mangoandbroccoli - fantastic!! Have been thinking about you and wishing you well. The other results will be back soon. Hope you are feeling ok. 😘😘😘

@BooMamaBear - that is just so wonderful. Enjoy this moment and knowing all is well. Also hope you are feeling good.😍

So I had an early scan today at 7 weeks. Saw one beautiful little heart beat. Just taking day by day. It’s massively helping not having to commute but my mother in law was admitted to hospital today with coronavirus so a bitter sweet day. Staying strong for hubby. Just so grateful for this new chance.

Hugs xxxx

BooMamaBear · 06/04/2020 21:10

Thanks @ShootingStar2020 -oh no hope you've MIL is ok and recovers well!! Xx

Treaclepie19 · 06/04/2020 21:20

Just read our screening results letter.
Not at increased risk for Down's, Edward's or Patau's.
Down's is 1 in 10000 and Edward's and Patau's 1 in 100000.

I've breathed a sigh of relief and then realised it's still not the results we actually want to know. I hope we're not making a mistake not having the amnio.

So glad all was well at your scan @ShootingStar2020! I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope she recovers soon.

I'm not as sore as earlier thanks, just panicking there is a clot or something 😔

@BooMamaBear what amazing news! @Treaclepie19 sounds v positive so far.
great news @Mangoandbroccoli and @ShootingStar2020 so sorry about your mil but glad your scan went well.

This thread is continuing to give me hope ❤️

Balajake · 06/04/2020 23:40

@Treaclepie19 are you not having a CVS test ? I told screening midwife if I get pregnant I want it for sure. I said no early scans just 12 week and CVS but i know I’ll soften my stance should I be in that position. I’m 40, diabetic, have ulcerative colitis, previous Edwards syndrome baby so if I had screening it would come out high risk anyway. I’m also overweight but I’m working on that.

Everything is looking ok for you so far which is amazing

BooMamaBear · 07/04/2020 00:05

I feel really nervous about something going wrong now coz we've got past the 50/50 chance thing it would be awful. I have to wait for the miscarriage risk of the cvs to pass -they usually say 2 weeks which is a week tomorrow but the report says the risk Is 6 weeks but more likely in first 2-3 weeks then some sources say most cases of miscarriage occur 2-3 days after - I'm confused - once I get past this risk I'll be In the same boat as everyone with a normal pregnancy!

1stbabs · 07/04/2020 00:22

It's so lovely to see so much good news on the thread today!

@Mangoandbroccoli that's wonderful! Hopefully your other results come super quickly!

@ShootingStar2020 That's great news, must have been so lovely to see a heartbeat! Sorry about your MIL hope she's better soon, mine was also admitted today. It's stressful trying to get news when nobody is allowed to visit isn't it!

@Treaclepie19 that sounds really good. I don't know anything about amnios as my baby's condition was picked up on a scan, but are you able to change your mind if you want to? I hope you're feeling better tomorrow xx

@BooMamaBear it must be such a stressful time for you, but you've got through the scariest hurdle so far! Hoping this next couple weeks goes super quick for you x

BooMamaBear · 07/04/2020 00:32

But that's still good news @Treaclepie19 -is the only way to get the results you want by Amnio or CVS or would it be picked up on the scan?
It still hasn't really sunk in about my test results I feel like it was a dream and I still don't feel like I can feel excited until about 5 weeks time but there always something new to worry about!! Xx

Treaclepie19 · 07/04/2020 06:59

Thanks everyone. We can change our mind and have the amnio if we want to. We just decided originally that if the initial warning sign wasn't there we wouldn't have it.
Last time only the nuchal and a possible heart issue were picked up by scans so I'm nervous. Only the amnio will really tell us what we need to know. Theres no reason to think we need it though.

It's all confusing isn't it. We said we would rather just not have it than risk an amnio and miscarry a healthy baby but we will see. I think the plan now is to see the next scan and go from there.
