.....(have name changed)...I just sent a text to my OH along the lines of "and I love you and your great big XXXX and I can't wait to see you tomorrow and sit on it with my really XXX XXXXX and etc etc" - you get the general gist -

To realise to my horror I have sent it to my Dad who I have also been texting all day as my mum is in hosp having a routine op.

[shock

MaryBS · 01/07/2010 22:59

Tell him your mate did it as a windup and you're livid about it!

Karmann · 01/07/2010 22:59

Oh I am sorry - but I am laughing my head off!

Monty100 · 01/07/2010 23:00

Did you Dad text you back?

booyhoo · 01/07/2010 23:01

he will delete it and never mention it if he is any dad worth his salt.

very funny though, that's one for the grandkids... or maybe not

Poshwellies · 01/07/2010 23:01

HHAHAHAHAHA

If it helps,dh was msn once to me(yes,we were childishly msn'ing in the same room) and his mother, and sent 'my' message to his mother saying 'so,do you fancy a shag tonight?'

She never mentioned it,but he cringed for hours,I just laughed.

nigglewiggle · 01/07/2010 23:02

Mary talks sense. Don't mention your Mary though .

solo · 01/07/2010 23:03

booyhoo · 01/07/2010 23:04

OH sent a text to his mum saying "i love you my wee sexybum." she might have presumed it was for me except that he does text her quite often to say "i love you my wee mummy" she rang him to clarify

mortification · 01/07/2010 23:04

I cannot yet speak and he hasn't yet responded no ...and my breathing has not yet regulated itself....

oh noooooo! omg that's the most embarassing thing EVER! you pooor thing

MumNWLondon · 01/07/2010 23:06

ROFL.

Its too easy with emails or texts to send to wrong person by mistake. My BIL send me email last week intended for his friend entitled "sick of marriage". Whenever you send a text just think, how would I feel if everyone in my address book saw this. If the answer is you'd be embarassed well don't send it.

Also just be glad it was your dad, could have been so so much worse.

starshaker · 01/07/2010 23:07

There was a poster on here a wee while ago that sent out an official email asking male colleagues (i think) to remember there willys as it was quite muddy.

Think this is right but feel free to correct me if i got it wrong. Either way it made me spit my tea out just like this did

booyhoo · 01/07/2010 23:07

how could it be worse than your dad?????

booyhoo · 01/07/2010 23:08

sorry OP, it will be fine, honest

Poshwellies · 01/07/2010 23:08

I'd txt my dad and just say 'ooops sorry dad, obviously not for your eyes'

He'd take the piss out of me for months.

secunda · 01/07/2010 23:09

I am terrified of doing this. Terrified.

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 23:10

At least your namechnage worked, so you won't be remembered as 'the one who told her dad she wanted to sit on his XXXX'

piratecat · 01/07/2010 23:15

pmsl, oh nooooooooooooooooo!!!!

shockers · 01/07/2010 23:20

Hehe... I would be cringing too! There is nothing anyone can say that will take this away but it will make a smashing anecdote at parties.

My friend sent me a text by mistake one saturday morning... something along the lines of "Great shag this morning mmmm, you horny thing". My name is the female version of her DH's and she was obviously still in post bonk bliss when she pressed send.
(not as bad as yours though .

colditz · 01/07/2010 23:22

Oh

My

God

I'd die.

MadameCheese · 01/07/2010 23:24

Oh you poor thing!!!!! I'm not one for lying usually but can't you say you lost your phone or something?

caramelwaffle · 01/07/2010 23:27

Oh

My

God

I'd be dead in the grave with colditz

mortification · 01/07/2010 23:32

It is funny I see that.
