PorkyandBess · 21/09/2012 14:34

Arf at razor wire!

Another hater here, they look bloody hideous.

happy2bamummy · 09/10/2012 22:27

Ah well each to their own. I want to buy one for my daughter, but haven't found a nice one. And my DD 9 mth old has plenty of hair. Can anyone recommend a nice one :-)

wrcm · 01/08/2014 16:11

Having read a lot of these comments I have to say although it's a personal choice I find that most of you are generalising the parents who choose to use them. My husband and I are both professional high earners and I have had them on my 4 month old DD2 when going to parties or Special events.

minidisco · 01/08/2014 16:47

I put my dd in them, she is very bald but I think they are cute! And I am not a chav, I am actually a social worker! (Which is relevant as someone once said to me they would report me to social services for putting her in it!) I think it was meant tongue in cheek ;-)

Purplecircle · 01/08/2014 16:49

I hate them too

Zombie thread

Chwaraeteg · 01/08/2014 17:08

I agree that headbands on babies look awful and chavvy although I had to use them on my daughter at one stage as she has was born with humongous amounts of thick, curly, uncontrollable hair that got in her eyes.

I tried hairclips but she took them out and tried to eat them. I've now, at nine months, cut her a little (lopsided) fringe but I still have to tie the rest of her hair in a pony tail or bunches because it's so springy it stands up on her head and looks like she's wearing a wig!

But yeah, if your baby has np hair and you put a headband on them, you will look like a massive chav. Can't be comfy for the baby either.

fatlazymummy · 01/08/2014 17:22

Why can't they be comfy for the baby? The one I saw wearing one the other day was sleeping peacefully , so presumably it wasn't bothering her at all.

They look ridiculous, imo.

iProcrastinate · 01/08/2014 18:08

YANBU! I know someone who's slap head bald baby girl regularly has hair bands that are actually bigger than her face on, I swear she could pick up television signal on them!

Rainbunny · 01/08/2014 19:50

I live in the states and its horribly common. Every other bloody day I get a pic on my FB feed with some hairless baby girl in a pink or yellow headband! SO GLAD to think this is not popular back in the UK.
