lol at missymorrison missing the fact that this has been resurrected.

proudmum - sorry to hear about your DD, and good luck in finding something suitable to sort out her hearing aid. Yes of course, all babies are beautiful (although there is some dispute over this according to a recent thread).

It is the nature of MNers to be forthright and opinionated, and had you been around many moons ago when this thread started and mentioned this fact, the thread may well have taken a different turn. We can be a bit mardy (well I might be) but also quite sensitive when we have an alternative view put politely to us.

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 21:45

I know you all think they look cheap , but i rather like them . Trouble is I dont know where to buy one.

Any ideas ? I Want a really big flower ,like the little girl at the boot fair was wearing

Noqontrol · 11/07/2012 21:48
Hmm
Primafacie · 11/07/2012 21:55

Zombie hairband thread

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 21:58

should i have started a new thread ?

Anyway any links to shops that sell them .. I only seem to find ones in the US and i was hoping we might get one for saturday. (going to wedding)

Cazza72 · 11/07/2012 22:05

Absolutely fucking hate them - naff beyond belief! Makes them look like Easter Eggs

bronze · 11/07/2012 22:08

I normally hate the but the pic on the first page made me think
I can understand the parents of a prem baby wanting to put one on their baby. Often prems don't wear clothes and it's nice for the parents to be able to 'dress' them. It's often those little things that
Parents miss out on that really upset them

GnocchiNineDoors · 11/07/2012 22:10

Wondering if OP is my sil as she lols and xxxxs her way through all her texts and fb stati.

revellish · 11/07/2012 22:12

Agreed. Hideous.

AKE2012 · 11/07/2012 22:15

Its not just headbands its the stick on bows/clips i dont like as well.

GrassIsntGreener · 11/07/2012 22:16

Never liked them. Dd is 4, was totally bald for months on end but I did not, not once, get tempted by a headband!

SoleSource · 11/07/2012 22:19

I think they're gross but yesterday I saw Victoria Beckham's baby wearing one and it was really cute and tiny. First time I thought that!

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 22:21

any one got any idea where I can buy one ?

NarkedRaspberry · 11/07/2012 22:21

They're not 'chav'. There's no need to use that word.

They are fucking awful.

Primafacie · 11/07/2012 22:35

Pa, I'm starting to find it rather endearing that you still like them even though they look very silly.

Have you heard of Amazon? They have a gazillion of the things. Order now, choose express delivery and bob is ton oncle.

There is also that thing called google, you can find the most random things by searching for, say, 'baby headband' and selecting "pages from uk" :o

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 22:39

I have been searching but cant find much. The amazon onesa are all too small.
All the big ones i have found have been in the states.

this UK shop
www.ilovegorgeous.co.uk/

has sold out of the colour i like . The couple down the market said they go theirs of a website called topsy turvy or something similar but I can find anything like that.
If its good enough for the beckhams i'll trust their fashion judgement above that of the mums in here .. After all who lets their mum choose their clothes.

SoleSource · 11/07/2012 22:41

Montrosity

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 22:45

actually the one harper beckham was wearing is way too small

A slight aside ... to get round the problem of earrings on babies i have come up with the solution of using bindis (the indian things they stick between the eyes) glued to her lobes. I might trim them so they look like little studs. I havent decided yet.

Primafacie · 11/07/2012 22:49

Ok now I get it. Thanks, you did make me smile though :)

Scarredbutnotbroken · 11/07/2012 22:50

You can get them here with swans down shit on them and faux pearls. If that's not a choking hazard what is?
You can buy amazing funky baby grows now to customise your baby so to speak - you don't need an elastic area torture device!

Primafacie · 11/07/2012 22:52

Pmsl at 'customise your baby'. What on earth are clothes for?

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 22:53

What do you get ?

I really do want to find a head flower. not sure the baby mother will let me glue earrings on though. We tried with some gold stickers the other day and it looks very cute .

I saw some with feathers.. not keen on those.

SoleSource · 11/07/2012 22:56

Pa it is IMO slightly cruel and looks SHIT

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 22:58

well if its good enough for the beckhams...

not sure how cruelty comes into it.

PaWithABra · 11/07/2012 23:02

guess no one in here knows where to buy one. I will be near oxford street tomorrow if any body can think of a shop that stocks them..

if not, guess we'll just have to stick with the stick on earrings...
